After a disappointing sectional loss in the final minutes against Peoria Richwoods, Justin Bocot is ready to make his mark on the AAU circuit.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 20 points and 3.5 assists in his junior season, and felt that the Bloomington squad played very well on the year.
"Coming into the year, I think a lot of people underestimated us, but we were really good this year and played with good team effort all year long"
Bocot currently does not have any leaders when it comes to colleges, but has a nice array of interested schools, with Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, DePaul, Wisconsin, Marquette, Southern Illinois, Michigan and Michigan State.
When asked what he will look for in a program, Bocot stated "I want to find a good basketball program, where I can come in and get some time early on. I am not interested in taking a redshirt year."
Besides playing on the AAU circuit, Bocot is looking to attend some camps this summer, with ABCD camp quite likely one of them. "
Bocot was listed in many rankings as high as top-5, but over the past year his ratings have fallen.
Presently chicagohoops.com has him #19 in Class of 2007,
just ahead of Sam Maniscalco.
