Im beyond annoyed with this game and the Refs. Clearly the Ramblers are favored by the MVC and the MVC wants them in the NCAA tournament. So many non-calls and the Loyola fans are getting on my nerves.

While the refs aren’t great, this isn’t a repeat of Drake where the refs are clearly effecting the game. Loyala is simply shooting like crazy. Had you told me we’d have 64 points shooting 47% with 3 to play, I’d have liked our chances to come away with a win. Sometimes, the other team is just hot.

We just didn't come to play on defense in the 1st half and to Loyola's credit they took advantage of it. We played a lot better in the 2nd half and it's that half that we need to take on the road to St. Louis. Will be curious to see what Wardle says about Eli's no show for the 2nd half.

I know what your saying but you have to agree that LU's coach was a bit ridiculous and watching on ESPN2, you could hear one guy the whole game and it was just a bit annoying.

Post game radio - Snell and his co-host and Wardle did not bring up Childs not playing in the second half at all.during the post game radio. Wardle stated that he played those in the second half that he thought were really trying .... which is likely a huge hint.... New Season Starts Friday - Go Bradley

From what Wardle said the reason why Eli didn't play in the 2nd half was basically an effort issue. I would have imagined Eli would have played in the 2nd half if winning the game would have meant something. Same with Luuk. Good use of a teaching moment I guess that you just can't similate in practice.

I dont love the move. I dont want Eli frustrated going into arch Madness. Im optimistic it will focus him for sat and the rematch that I hope we get ,tho id rather play someone from Thursday . Gotta get the Friday win tho. #back2backsemisaturdays

My initial reaction was that Childs would not respond well to this sort of motivation. However, I just rewatched the game, and it appeared he was engaged on the bench and sitting next to the coaches the entire second half.

My take away from that was that Eli did not play physical like Wardle wanted him to so he sat him. Good for him.. Jashon is not afraid to play that way. Wardle said this was his type of game. This should be a learning experience for Elijah
