In the ISU/SIU game Phil Fayne scored the 1st 6 points for the Redbirds and didn't score for the rest of the half. Keyshawn Evans probably had his best half for a while as he leads the Redbirds with 11 points. Malik Yarbrough had 5 points and 4 turnovers. For SIU Sean Lloyd Jr. led the way with 11 points. Kavion Pippen had 8 points and 8 rebounds while Armon Fletcher had 7 points so it's been the main players for both teams who have contributed the most. The strangest stat from the 1st half was 1-6 FT shooting by SIU.

Our first game will be on Friday as ISU Blue beats UNI 71-54! And looking like ISU Red is in the play in game as SIU went on a 11-0 run to go up 70-61 with 1:04 left

Looks like we locked the 5th seed now regardless of tonight’s outcome?

Down 61-60 SIU went on a 13-0 run to end up with a 72-63 win. ISU Red will play Evansville in the 7/10 game and Valpo and ISU Blue will play in the 8/9 game. We will be the #5 seed, regardless if we win or lose at Loyola, and play either SIU or Missouri State if the Bears lose to Drake. MSU can still be the #1 seed if they beat Drake and we beat Loyola.

If we lose that puts us in a 3 way tie with UNI and ISU Red and we would win the 3 way round robin with a record of 3-1 and be the #5 seed. UNI would be the #6 seed with a 2-2 record and the Redbirds would be the #7 seed with a 1-2 record. We will then play either SIU or MIssouri State if they lose to Drake because they have a worse Ken Pom ranking than SIU. If we win and MSU loses we would be in a 3 way tie for 3rd but we would lose the round robin and be the #5 seed by virtue of our 1-3 record. MSU would be the #3 seed by virtue of a 3-1 record and SIU would be the #4 seed with a 2-2 record. If we and MSU both win than we would be tied with SIU for 4th and unless we gain a lot of spots in the Ken Pom rankings than we'll be the #5 seed.

Nick McGlynn scored 15 of his game high 22 points in the 2nd half as Drake clinched at least a share of the Mo Valley regular season title with a 73-62 win at Missouri State who we will now be playing in the 4/5 game on Friday. From 11:02 to 1:33 of the 2nd half Drake outscored MSU 16-6. Once again the FT line was kind to the Bulldogs as they were 20-24 from there compared to 12-18 for the Bears. You play who you play but I like getting MSU since they have lost 3 of their last 4 and haven't looked very good. Let's help Drake get the #1 seed so we have a chance at them in the semis if we get there. LET'S GO GET EM BOYS. TCB. GET ER DONE!
