Bradley's next game is at Loyola on Saturday, March 2, 5:00 pm. It's the final regular season game.
Bradley is 17-13, and 9-8 in the MVC. Loyola is 18-12, and 11-6 in the MVC.
This will be Loyola's Senior Day Game- they will lose seniors Marques Townes and Clayton Custer after this season ends,

TV: The game is a nationally televised game on ESPN2 and on online at: http://www.espn.com/watch/_/id/34736...o-m-basketball

Their leading scorer is senior Marques Townes, a transfer from Fairleigh Dickinson. He averages 15.6 ppg on the season, and he is a possible MVC Player of the Year candidate. He ranks 4th in scoring overall in the MVC, but in MVC games only he is the MVC leading scorer, averaging 17.6 ppg. He also a good 3-point shooter at 36.0% overall, and 40.3% in MVC games. In the first game between Bradley and Loyola on 2/13/19 Townes had a team-leading 15 points and 7 rebounds.

Their 2nd leading scorer is sophomore Cameron Krutwig who averages 14.9 ppg overall, and 15.9 ppg in MVC games (ranks 5th in MVC scoring). Krutwig is also their leading rebounder with 7.4 rpg. In the 2 regular season games against Bradley last season, he had 21 & 13 in Chicago, and 13 & 8 in Peoria. But in the MVC Tournament quarterfinal game, he had only 4 & 2. And in the first game this season, Krutwig had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Third leading scorer is senior preseason POY Clayton Custer, an Iowa State transfer, averaging 11.3 ppg and 36.7% from three. Fourth leading scorer and 2nd leading rebounder (8.9 ppg & 6.3 rpg) is sophomore Lucas Williamson. It appears he will probably play against Bradley. He missed 8 games in December/early January due to a broken bone in his hand. He returned and played in 4 games in January, but then he re-injured the hand and missed the next 10 games after undergoing surgery to fix the fractured bone. He returned and played in their last game on Wednesday (2/27/19) . He played 29 minutes and had 12 points and 4 rebounds in their 56-55 win at UNI.
5th leading scorer is a freshman, Cooper Kaifes, who is averaging 5.7 ppg and is shooting 46.2% from three. Their 6th man is sophomore Aher Uguak, a 6'7" forward transfer from New Mexico. He has started 24 games this season as a regular starter early in the season, and filling in for Lucas Williamson while he was injured. Uguak is originally from South Sudan, the same native country as Koch Bar. He emigrated to Canada, and played high school basketball in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He is a cousin of former Chicago Bulls player Luol Deng. He averages 5.5 ppg and 3.4 rpg. Loyola gets very little production from anyone other than those 6 players.

I like this chart because I can not remember the Valley final previous seasons standings being a total maze like this with each team having 1 regular season game remaining. So I thought I would keep this topic / link going with less than 2 days to go until game time. Thank you Pauly616. Did you create this yourself? I'm impressed. GO BRADLEY ....

You're going to be a nervous wreck? You will not be alone. Your going to have a few hundred or more fans right there with you - including me. My PC keyboard barely survived my Thunderous Typing to the Bradley Chat group during the last Bradley / Drake game and the horrendous refereeing .. Saturday's referees need to be honest, fare and great and not swayed by the home crowd. All of us will know before Saturday's Bradley / Loyola game if it is a "must win" for Bradley to stay out of being the Arch Madness 7th seed (Thursday game). GO BRADLEY - and thank you Elmerb for your honesty.... I'm right there with you..

well - maybe I am just a pure cynic but I know the "league" doesn't want Loyola to lose at home in the regular season finale on national TV...
..that being said - we will have to see if we get the same 3 refs (Ray Natili; Randy Heimerman; Kelly Self) that we got at Drake

If we get those refs, or the ones we got at ISU blue, we are cooked. We have not fared well in phantom-foul type games this year, and we’ve had more than our share. In a good note, you generally don’t see those types of games as much in the valley tournament. SEE YOU TOMORROW for everyone making the trip.

So long as Siu or Isu blue win. We good for no Thursday sigh of relief at 3pm and see how we wanna play the game for seeding at 5. If it becomes must win and we get it. Talk about momentum going into Arch Madness.

The only way BU loses at this stage is if the refs take the game from us, as this team is easily the best team in the Valley at this point in time.

Not sure when it clicked, but as soon as they got the quick pass moving offense going instead of running those crap set plays all the time, along with playing lock down defense, we’ve only lost when the refs were completely one-sided.

The SIU loss, we fell back into slow down set offense mode in the 2nd half. The Drake game speaks for itself. Those are our only two losses in quite some time, and I think Wardle has figured out that trying to slow this team down is a bad idea. We’re best when we play fast and loose.

plan on a win this afternoon Braves fans. Believe it! It’s gonna happen!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I totally agree also. When this team was playing that slow down half court offense it was really painful to watch. It was like a switch being turned on for both our coaches and players. I wished we could have pushed the ball earlier in the season and maybe we wouldn’t be in this must win situation today. Go Braves! Sweep the Ramblers!

Back to the future. Ozzie had success with running in the super 60,s. We have always been at our best with an up-tempo game

So far so good for us to stay out of the play in game. ISU Blue leads at home against UNI 22-10 with 5:00 left in the 1st half. ISU Red leads at SIU 25-20 with 6:30 left in 1st half.
