  • Antoine Pittman

The announcement about Senior Night does include Antoine Pittman - https://twitter.com/bradleyumbb/stat...25849888714752

I find no independent verification but..
Dave Reynolds is saying in his Twitter that Antoine Pittman will leave and his scholarship next year will go to JaMir Price
..and altho he may leave as a grad transfer - we just don't know at this point....

but recall that Sam Singh & others were honored for Senior Night and still returned the following year, and anyway -
whatever happened to the reports that Price would not be here for 2019 but would do a year of prep school instead?
    I guess time will tell.

Would not surprise me if he leaves after this season. Lundy has pretty much taken his spot in the rotation, maybe he could win that spot back next year? Wardle seems to be playing Armon a decent amount this year though so I expect to see him play even more next year.

The story now seems to backtrack a bit

"Bradley spokesman Jason Veniskey said the sendoff for Pittman doesn’t mean he’ll forego his final year of eligibility at BU.

Price is expected to attend prep school next year and become a 2020 freshman at Bradley. ...

It’s unclear whether Price would come directly to Bradley should Pittman not return to the Hilltop."

so first it does mean he's not returning then it doesn't -
and first Price will get Pittman's scholarship next year then he won't & will go to prep school instead...
maybe we should stop the unfounded speculation and wait & see...

Pittman has been a disappointment this year. In his preseason comments, Wardle was talking about Pittman's improvement and how he was going to be a strong defensive player. Not sure what happened in practice, but Pittman's time quickly decreased to zero fairly early in the season. Don't see any real reason for him to return. Same may be true for Hodgson , who went from being a starter to getting zero playing time. Although he is a good ball handler and at times has been a good shooter, his reluctance to shoot has resulted in his being a liability to the team rather than an asset. Allowing the other team to have to guard only 4 players and ignore Hodgson results in a 5 on 4 game. If he is going to be in the game, we need him taking at least 4-5 shots. Maybe he will step up here at the end of the season and become an asset. Same could be said about Ari. Had great expectations for him this season, but we have seen very little from him even when he was in the game. Would love to see a game where Ari gets in the game and scores 10 points. Maybe next year.

          Podcast with Brian Wardle

He says he wants to make it crystal clear - we are honoring Antoine Pittman as a graduating (academic) senior and what he will be doing
next year with his 5th year has NOT been determined and won't be determined until after he season is over!
