  • Final score: Bradley 67 Valparaiso 42

Bradley is now 16-13 and 8-8 in the MVC after their home win over Evansville. Their next game is Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7 PM at home against Valparaiso. The Crusaders are 14-15 overall, and 7-9 in the MVC after their loss at UNI on Saturday.
Bradley can still finish as low as tied for 8th place or as high as a tie for 2nd place with 2 more wins and losses by 2 of the top teams. They cannot reach 1st place because Drake and Missouri State play each other on the final day, so they cannot both lose their remaining 2 games.

This is the final home game of the season, and Bradley will honor their 5 graduating seniors Peter Hanley, Antoine Pittman, Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye, Luqman Lundy and Luuk van Bree in a pregame ceremony.

Drake & Missouri State both own the tiebreaker against Bradley so Bradley cannot get either the #1 or #2 seed.
And, correct me if I am wrong, but we can catch Loyola at 10-8 with two wins and a loss by Loyola Wednesday to UNI but then that would mean UNI would finish at 10-8 or better
..so they would get 3rd seed since their NET is significantly better than Bradley's - so Bradley's chances of finishing any better than 4th seed are essentially zero.
We need for Evansville to knock off SIU - they almost pulled the upset in Carbondale -- it was close at the end, and the Aces were within 3 in the final 10 seconds - but SIU made FTs and won.

Good summary Tornado. Without exception - Bradley needs to win Wednesday - plain and simple. The conference records of all the teams are "too tight" and 2 teams are going to be extremely disappointed to be placed in the Arch Madness brackets as the 7th and 8th place teams. Bradley's toughest road game for the season will likely be this Saturday at Loyola's HORNETS NEST - final Rambler's home game - start the next Cinderella NCAA run - Nationally televised game - Sister Jean and all. A real test for the Braves. But first Valpo and the need to take care of business on Wednesday and send our seniors out with a huge home win. Go Bradley

        Valpo on Wednesday concerns me.
Last year Senior Day looked like a layup: An emotional night with Donte and an opponent they had already beaten on the road (Indiana State). One Nate Kennell slip and a two-point loss later, and the resulting 9-9 Valley record felt like a real letdown.

I am a sister Jean fan and enjoyed seeing the Loyola team and even the nation celebrate her part in their run last year.
But the last several televised Loyola games, I have watched carefully and there's been no mention of her being there and
I have not seen any photos of her at any recent games. It is possible her age & health play a part but if anyone sees any news, let us know..

I agree - the Ramblers team history and legacy of Sister Jean just added to the color of last years NCAA run. You're correct I did a google about Sister Jean and this years Loyola games - and the last article was November 28, 2018 when Sister Jean received her Final 4 Ring. I'll admit that I have not kept up with the latest Loyola / Sister Jean news. As you stated she is now 99. What I do recall was a recent video clip on TV either from the MVC media or network sports media during some recent game briefly showing Sister Jean - I am sure in some sort of PR advertisement for this years either Valley or NCAA tournament. Even without Sister Jean - Bradley is still walking into a Hornets Nest this Saturday at Loyola. Go Braves...

                Concerns me too.

Especially when the talk is about what other teams could do or what we need them to do. And talk about the what-if we win at Loyola. This kinda talk gets ya 8-10.

Sounds to me like we are over-looking the challenge right in front of us.

                Stay focused.

I agree. At this point we can’t take anyone for granted. Take care of business and we can avoid the dreaded Thursday game...Hopefully get a good crowd on Wednesday and support this team on senior night! Go Braves!

I think the focus needs to be brought to our Srs especially DLO and Luuuuuuuuuk and Pitt and Pete. These guys looked at our program/City at its worst and said. I am going to be the beginning to it being restored. They have left us no doubt better then they found us. 2 11 yr losing streaks snapped. One vs the dean of the valley and the other against the birds. Not to take away from Lundy and what hes meant. Hes been a Tuai/Adams type guy and im very grateful to him as well and we are going to need him to get our foot in the slipper. Get the W . Srs all have big nights including Pete scoring some late because we run em out of our gym. Push the ball. Go go go go. Loud and Proud... Pack Carver!

I saw her a couple of games ago when they honored Aundre Jackson at halftime.. he went over and gave her a hug. She looked herself.
