  • Mid-season transfers

This season there were a few mid-season transfers - not many that would help at the midmajor level, tho..
.......but some were of interest to MVC fans...and also surprising how many have yet to commit.
    Here's a listing - https://watchstadium.com/news/compre...ng-12-29-2018/

One of interest is TCU's Jaylen Fisher - who was an AAU teammate of Bradley's Darrell Brown, Jr. Fisher has yet to commit anywhere, and is sitting out the rest of this season to concentrate on academics and recover from knee surgery, but could possibly finish his degree by end of summer and transfer as a post-grad to be eligible next year. In addition, he only played 9 games this season - so he'd likely get a redshirt year for 2018-19 and be able to transfer with 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.

Fisher's TCU teammate Angus McWilliam, a 6-10 post guy from New Zealand is also leaving and may be interested in playing elsewhere with his teammate. He is much more of an unknown since the only season at TCU was hampered with injury and he barely played. He played well for NZ's National teams.

A 6-9 sophomore from Pitt transferred to Evansville - Peace Ilegomah - https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...289#post481289

A kid who was originally from Milwaukee and who is well known to our staff, Danya Kingsby - went to Arlington Country Day prep school, then spent time at juco (College of Southern Idaho) and was claimed (falsely) to be headed to Bradley on another message board, but instead he committed to Pitt - then when there was a coaching change - he reneged and re-committed to LSU and was never linked to Bradley at that time - altho our staff is definitely aware of him. He never played a game at LSU - then in January he announced he was leaving but would not transfer until spring. He may be waiting to see which schools have scholarships open up and he may yet land in the Valley somewhere.

A St. Louis kid, Zeke Moore is transferring from Tulsa - he was a big time scorer and good shooter in high school but did not play much at Tulsa. He will probably step down to a low-major.

The top player available on the mid-season market was said to be Carte'Are Gordon, a Top 100 kid who was a freshman at Saint Louis (averaging 9 ppg) who left and transferred to DePaul. DePaul had just landed a commitment from Chicago's Markese Jacobs (who had reneged from Kansas) and Markese's brother is a freshman still at Saint Louis (after reneging from SIU) who plays very sparingly and averages just 0.5 ppg. There are already rumors he will leave after the season and head to DePaul.

There's a couple others who have MVC-caliber talent but they were dismissed with "issues" or arrests, so I am sure our staff will stay far away from them - but don't count out that some could land somewhere else in the MVC -

I would take Jaylen Fisher in a heartbeat.

Still no word on where Fisher nor Kingsby might land upon transferring - they appear to be two of the top transfers available right now
..but there will certainly be more by mid-March and beyond
...don't be surprised if we hear more on both guys when they choose to transfer

how would you feel if he ended up at BU? He looks to have the ability to be a successful MVC pg.

Bradley now has probably two open scholarships if Price goes to prep school
..look to hear something even as early as this week about taking a transfer or two...

UNLV will also have to totally re-stock so I have to think they will take in a bunch of transfers like they have the past few years...
Hopefully we can beat them out because we will have both playing time plus a chance at success on an established team picked as one of the favorites in our conference...

but as Evansville's Ryan Taylor (the MVC's scoring leader last season!) proved last year - even transfer to a bottom dweller Big Ten school with virtual zero chances of making the NCAA Tournament - and the potential that you might not even be one of their best players - LINK - still appeals to some guys more than playing for a mid-major...Now he's likely even done damage to his professional playing potential!
