Quick addendum to this story: Mizzou's Ronnie Suggs, last night's clutch scorer & defender, is now on scholarship for the Tigers. Cuonzo Martin informed him recently, per Suggs' family.

    Thanks for finding that!
That's terrific! Congratulations Ronnie! I know his family still follows this message board.

I watched the Arkansas-Missouri game last night and posted a bit about Ronnie's big contribution in the few minutes he played down the final stretch-

Here is a follow-up tweet from Dave Matter, the Univ. of Missouri beat writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch & STLtoday.com .

To clarify, Cuonzo told Suggs he was going on scholarship for the semester/summer a couple weeks back, not just because he played well last night. Scholarship came open when Christian Guess left the team in December.

It was too bad for the team that he left. He fell out of coach’s rotation and I could never figure out why. He wasn’t a stud but did a lot of good things. Glad things are working out for him.
      Gotta stop feeding the trolls.

Anything good that happens to Suggs I'm all for......never understood why he was asked to leave, always thought he could help out here if given a chance.....good for him!

Ronnie just led Mizzou in scoring with 13 against Kentucky. Good for Ronnie. Seems like he really could have helped us.

Great game by Ronnie.Ronnie was the first sub off the bench just 2½ minutes into the game. He played 24 minutes off the bench, including more than 15 minutes of the 2nd half when Missouri outscored Kentucky 35-25 to come back from an 18 point halftime deficit to make the game competitive. Only one other player played more minutes for Missouri. Ronnie also had 4 rebounds.

Nice article in the Kansas City Star newspaper about Ronnie Suggs
How Ronnie Suggs went from walk-on to rotation player for Cuonzo Martin and Missouri

with all due respect - since people complain all the time if there's a thread that mentions ISU - I would like to nominate "Ronnie Suggs"
as the next topic that we have really heard enough about. I like Ronnie & his family and nobody follows past Bradley players any more
intently and obsessively than I do --
but a minute-by-minute update on Ronnie is kinda overdone, dontcha think?
How 'bout I start a Lance Stemler Update or a Tyrone Cole-Scott update thread ?

True irony...we have had numerous threads about former Braves (including Lance Stemler, Tyrone Cole-Scott and even far more obscure players), including one just a couple threads below this one that has well over 500 posts and about a quarter million views, and you have accounted for more than 90% of the posts.

We should have never let Ronnie go.....BIG Mistake! Ronnie could have helped us and was a great kid.

those are infrequent periodic updates - posts about once or so per month - and the "quarter million views" attests to the thread's popularity
not near-daily updates in a thread that has only a couple dozen views per post

Did we let Ronnie go or did he want to go?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

If we got rid of him instead of the other way around, I’m all for him. Not like in the case of others.
