The Bradley women fell behind Indiana State by 17 points late in the 4th quarter, and still trailed by 15 (78-63) with 2:27 left. It looked hopeless. But they staged one of the most amazing comebacks I have ever seen. BU was down 78-63 when Nyjah White stole the ball, and Lasha Petree, who had a cold-shooting night up to that point, canned a 3-pointer at 2:27 to cut the lead to 78-66. Then Petree stole the inbounds pass, and canned a 2nd three pointer at 2:21 to make it 78-69. Petree stole the ball again on the next Indiana State possession, and was fouled and made 1 of 2 FTs to make it 78-70 with 2:12 left. Petree nailed another 3-pointer on Bradley's next possession to cut the lead to 78-73 with 1:50 left. Then Petree stole the ball again on the next Indiana St. possession for her 3rd steal in a 30 second span, and then she nailed a 4th 3-pointer at 1:41 making it 4 three pointers and a total of 13 points inside a 46 second span, and cutting the lead to 78-76. Two more Indiana State turnovers and a missed shot lead to Bradley taking the lead 80-78 on free throws. Then Indiana State scored with 8 seconds left to tie the game 80-80. And on the next Bradley possession Lasha Petree was fouled and made 1 of 2 FTs to win the game 81-80.
Bradley scored 17 of the final 19 points over slightly more than 2 minutes, with Lasha Petree scoring 14 of them. Gabi Haack had 20 points, and Chelsea Brackman had 17/7.
