I am amazed at how well he speaks English without an accent. A lot of people who come here from Foreign Countries learn to speak English very well but you can still detect an accent. With Luke you can not detect any accent
Luuk is extremely intelligent. Actually, all or players have high IQ's, which explains the team's record-setting academic achievements.
But Luuk also had the advantage of the Dutch education system. Students in the Netherlands start learning English in elementary school, and it is taught through high school. Almost all Netherlands natives are proficient at conversing in English, though Luuk's English has gotten better in his 4 years here..
