SIU came back from the 13 point halftime deficit to take a 52-50 lead at Missouri State with about 5 minutes left. But then Missouri State pulled back ahead and held on to beat SIU 65-59-

Bradley is again just 1 game behind the 6th place team. With 7 MVC games left, there is still a chance to play our way out of the Thursday games. But it won't be easy. Bradley's remaining schedule is tough. There are road games at Illinois State, Drake, and Loyola, and home games (where Bradley is 1-4 so far) against Indiana State, Loyola, Evansville, and Valparaiso. If Bradley can sweep the 4 home games, and win 1 of the road games, that would result in a 9-9 record, and that would probably be good enough to stay out of Thursday. If they can play as well as they played tonight, they might be able to do even better than 9-9. But we know from the home games against UNI, Missouri State, Drake, and SIU that this year home games are not guaranteed.

Shea Feehan was lighting it up in the non-conference part of the season - he had games of 29 pts against Ball State and scored over 20 several times...
but I guess the MVC teams have seen the tapes and have found a way to shut him down - he is now only scoring 5-6 per game, and in MVC play
he's only hitting 25% from the arc
The Evansville Aces have now lost 5 of their last 6, but surprisingly 3 of their wins are over Drake, Loyola & Valpo - the upper echelon of the MVC.
Wasn't there an Evansville fan on our board a week ago saying their fans were largely happy with the team's performance so far this season?
I wonder if they still feel the same after the beatdown last night at Indiana State?
In that game Evansville did NOT score a basket for the first 7 minutes - and yet were still only losing by FIVE POINTS!
But it went bad in a hurry as they scored only ONE MORE basket over the next six minutes - and after 15 minutes into the game they still hadn't reached 10 pts. By then Indiana State was well on their way to expanding the lead from 20 pts to over 30 pts.
and if SIU folks are grumbling now, it'll be interesting to see what happens next year there...
They lose virtually everyone - most of their starting lineup plus Thik Bol & a couple other subs- and those guys accounted for most of the 59 points scored last night.
They will lose 70-80% of their scoring & rebounding and will have to rebuild with a bunch of freshmen - some of whom haven't even played a game in two years. (altho as I noted elsewhere, Barry said he's holding one open scholarship for a blue-chipper grad transfer)
