I know Mac - but with a win Saturday we could be in 6th place and well on the way to being "out of the race for Thursday" - something that seemed a certainty just a week ago

Not me. I set my sights on 2-4 years from now.
Yeah, I hear you and basically agree. Hope you’re still watching along with us tho. In a year when you have to exploit the positives just to keep your interest & sanity, this was a good win.

This was a good win and a must win, as our goal for the season has shifted from hoping for a top 3 spot to getting out of the Thursday night “pillow fight” in St.Louis. As the season goes on, each game will become more important as each of the bottom feeders losses will become more important. Saturday night against SIU is critical. A win will put the game next Weds. at UNI as the most important game to date, of the season. As the Braves try to plow their way out of what seems to be their annual MVC Tournament play-in game, it is now time for our customary scoreboard and standings watching.

First, BU scores 85 against ISUred, then 37 at MO State, and 47 in the second half at Evansville. You never know which team will show up.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

I too am frustrated with the team's valley performance, but I actually enjoyed watching the Evansville game! I thought the effort was good and very pleased to see four players score in double figures. What's not to like about shooting over 50% FG% and 3P%? Hopefully this was a breakout game for DLO.

Bradley has won 3 of last 4 games played. 2 games were road wins. Win at home against ISU. I see changes in player rotation which are positive. My cup of coffee is half full, and looking for a refill! Go Braves.

I was ready to give DLOs role to Henry. Im hopeful the Srs continue to get the job done. Im not worried about Boya. We backed ourselves into a corner. Take care of the home court . Your on your way back. Loyola got a big win over UNI to put themselves in good shape. That collapse at Valpo may really bite the birds. Clearly birds and ramblers look to be best. Wide open after that with MSU being 3 imo 4 is us 5 uni 6 isu b siu 7 drake 8 UE 9 Valpo 10 my prediction for final standings tho your guess is good as mine or anyone elses. I feel pretty sure Loyola is going to get the job done mostly because i dont see the birds running the table. They could skid tho. Go Braves. keeping winning and see what happens.

Just seems every year BU fans are fed incredibly high expectations on new recruits/transfers (ie Ari). All too often, the actual performances at BU have been negligible and the team doesn't go anywhere.

Will all the hype for future BU recruits end up the same way? All sizzle, no steak?

Is the BU fan base so desperate and/or gullible we cling to anything that sounds like BU is headed back to relevance with recruiting?

Call me jaded. No excitement until I see it on the floor for a season (unless next BU recruit is Zion Williamson's twin of course).

Promising recruits doesn't get it for me anymore.

My BU fandom is fading in the desert, dying on the saguaros.....

At least it's warm here due to our current 'Solar Vortex!!

                  :-)

I think that 47 in the 2nd half is not even indicative of our scoring spree in the 2nd half.
We had only scored 4 points in the first 4.5 minutes of the half!
So about 43 points in the final 15 minutes of the game...pretty impressive!

I disagree that this team is not very good.
We have proven how good we can be, which in some games, were better than games last season.

The talent-level of the team is good...a little disappointed in our freshmen, but they haven't had much floor time to show us much.

I think the main problem is guys like Pittman, Hodgson, and Ari not playing AT ALL, and those guys could arguably be starters on any other Valley team...(let's face it - the league is weak)

Not sure what the mystery is behind their benching. We would certainly be stronger with their contributions.

The rotations in games I tend to shake my head at often.
If Lundy starts, there is something wrong. He is a good cog off the bench, but really shouldn't be playing more than 10 minutes. Poor shooter - GREAT athleticism and energy!

Love that Luk is finanlly getting the Playing time he deserves. Going to miss that kid.

I am not sure how you can think this if you have been watching Bradley play all season. I think Ari will eventually be a beast, but he needs to improve to get there. I believe the changes in the rotation were to get more athleticism and hustle. I hope they can find the consistency to get a major run going into March.

If you can’t get minutes as a sophmore, junior or senior on a team with a .500 record, you aren’t very good.
