For those who don't know, that big kid is 6'11" James Wiseman, who was the #1 overall 2019 recruit nationally, and who played on the same team at Memphis East High School with Antonio Thomas. I'd have liked to have landed him, too.
He committed to University of Memphis and head coach Penny Hardaway.

Here is a brief clip from an interview with Antonio Thomas. He talks about why he decided to focus on playing basketball. He was a middle schooler (a 5th grader) and stepped on the court with 8th graders and scored 15 points. He knew then that was what he wanted to do.
