Some interesting results tonight in the MVC-
Bradley with the easy win over ISU-

Indiana State with an easy 70-53 win over Valparaiso. Indiana State shot 51%, never trailed, and lead by as many as 23 points before their reserves finished out the game.

Drake lead by only 4 at halftime over Evansville, but then pulled out to a 19 point lead in the 2nd half and coasted to a 78-66 home win-

Southern Illinois looked terrible in the first half, struggled to score, and trailed Northern Iowa 35-19 at halftime. But the 2nd half was just the opposite. SIU shot 63.3% after halftime, had 7 steals contributing to 13 2nd half turnovers by UNI, and outscored UNI 51-27 to win the game 70-62.

And in the late game on the MVC-TV Network, Missouri State is clobbering Loyola. MSU leads Loyola 50-28 with 10½ minutes left in the game.
Loyola has only scored 28 points in the first 29½ minutes, and they have only 7 total rebounds so far. MSU is 10-18 from three-

Looks like it will be a clean sweep for the 5 home teams.

Loyola only has 6 points in the 2nd half with about 6 minutes to go. And they just finally got their 8th rebound of the game. MSU leads 57-30.
Amazingly, only 4 Loyola played have scored, and only 3 have made field goals, and one of them is POY Clayton Custer, who is just 1-6.

Loyola only scored 11 points in 2nd half and were outrebounded 28-9 for the game.

Last season, Loyola was 32-6 and only lost 1 game after January 3, 2018 until the Final Four. That 1 loss was at Bradley on Jan. 31, 2018.

This may be the most amazing score of the season anywhere. I thought BU scoring 15 for a half was bad but this is even worse.

the MVC race is tightened - every team is within 3 games of 1st place

and what's up with former MVC scoring leader Jordan Barnes (Indiana State)?
Since the MVC season started he is just 7-38 (18%) and barely averaging half of what he scored in the non-conference..

ditto Evansville's Shea Feehan...since the conference games started he's just 9-39 (23%) from the arc, and his scoring average dropped nearly in half. He only played 13 min tonight.

UNI's point guard AJ Green - once again - took almost twice as many shots as anyone else - but just 1 assist and 6 turnovers...but they got outscored 51-27 in the 2nd half and lose.

Loyola had just 9 rebounds ALL NIGHT as a team!!!!

THE Missouri Valley - is "UP FOR GRABS"..... January 23rd games - # 1 Valpo - "COLD"; # 1 Loyola - "COLD", # 2 Illinois State - "COLD":... After Saturday's and especially yesterday's Bradley wins - the rest of the regular season will be interesting...... FOR ME - what this shows and will be even more interesting is ARCH MADNESS..... Which team is going to have a " 3 DAY """ HOT """ STREAK ????" What Bradley needs to do is finish 6th in the regular season or better and stay out of the ARCH MADNESS Thursday games... A Thursday team that wins, and wins again on Friday would be sucking air and at a huge disadvantage playing a semi-final on Saturday against a team which is playing only it's second game in 2 days on Saturday. Bradley needs to finish 6th or better and wins against Loyola, Valpo, Drake and others the remaining portion of the season will only inspire confidence and show the Braves can play with anyone. It all starts this Saturday against Mo State - GO BRAVES !!!!
