I kinda took that into account....most of the transfers with sufficient talent to help right away are aiming higher and not looking at midmajors..
...then a bunch will have to sit out so they won't help this year either (ISU made that mistake last year taking numerous sit-out transfers then
getting caught with a dangerously short bench much of the season).
There's definitely a lot of juco kids - and maybe some will help at the DI level - but I have been tracking those kids and just don't see
many that are solid talents and great targets for us or other MVC teams -
One kid Bradley had been recruiting, Steve Wooten - just signed at UT-Martin- https://utmsports.com/news/2019/4/18...r-2019-20.aspx
..then a couple familiar names, AJ Youngman and Zion Morgan are also still available as are about 1/3 of the Juco Top 100 kids
https://www.jucorecruiting.com/2019-...p-100-rankings
..but if they are still available nearing the end of April, then you have to figure there's a reason...
Juco kids like ISU's Josh Jefferson and UNI's Tray Croft looked good on paper when they were signed late -
but they turned out to be essentially wasted scholarships - and ISU's Zach Copeland was ineligible and cost them that scholarship his first year (they did give it for 1/2 the year to walk-on Gassman but then they already had him on the roster and now he's gone)
I listed a few transfers that could help us - Nana Akenten, Rod Brown, Tim Finke, Jaylen Fisher, Sam & Joey Hauser and JD Notae...
and also this kid - Stanley Umude - https://www.argusleader.com/story/sp...ll/3509560002/
..but of course, he, like the rest is already getting interest from the big schools...
BUT... having said all that - surprises still occur - remember - we got Luqman Lundy kinda late in March of 2017
https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...7-luqman-lundy
and maybe the all time BEST really, really late recruit was landing Will Franklin in May of 2005 with Ja'Shon Henry in June of 2018 being a close 2nd! (also Luuk vanBree in May of 2015)
