  • Final score: Bradley 85 ISU 68

Bradley's next game is Wednesday, January 23, at 6:00 PM at home against Illinois State. Bradley is now 9-10 overall, and 1-5 in the MVC. ISU is 11-8 overall, and 4-2 in the MVC. They are just 1-5 in road games.

TV: The game is on the MVC-TV Network, and will be broadcast on NBCSports Chicago and FoxSports Midwest-
Note the different start time for TV- the game starts at 6:00 PM

Radio: WMBD 1470 AM and 100.3 FM, and online at www.1470wmbd.com
    Chat Room: http://www.chatzy.com/bradleyfans
    Live stats: https://bradleybraves.com/sidearmstats/mbball/summary

Bradley leads the all-time series against ISU 64-62. They split the 2 games last season with ISU winning in Normal 70-57, and Bradley winning in Carver Arena 70-58.
ISU is 4-2 in MVC play, but they have struggled somewhat, considering they were picked a close 2nd in the MVC Preseason Poll. Two of their four wins were by 1 point (home wins over UNI & SIU), and their other 2 wins were wins over Evansville, which was picked dead last in the MVC Preseason Poll.

Milik Yarbrough is their leading scorer and rebounder with 17.1 ppg and 8.0 rpg.

ISU's leading scorer and rebounder Milik Yarbrough is nursing a sore knee. No word whether ISU Coach Dan Muller is considering sitting him out the game at Bradley.

It didn't appear to slow him down much in their win at Evansville. He had 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist in 34 minutes. He also had 6 turnovers.

He was showing signs of it throughout the game. Awkwardly galloping/running on several occasions. I bet there is a 99% chance he plays tomorrow.

I agree. Unless he gets a lot worse, I don't see him sitting this game out.

heck - Muller's dealing with a lot of injuries - otherwise I expect him to play even if injured

Please expand on your comment above. It is pretty irresponsible to blame Muller for the medical well being of his players. Speculation of Muller being guilty of this is quite comical.

Well documented by you on your own message board doesn't really count as valid information. Thanks for the superb content though. I hear Boya wouldn't have been injured if it wasn't for Wardle. Now that is documented on here to.

I didn't get the chance to watch the Bradley/SIU game but I was just curious how much zone SIU played against Bradley? I expect ISU to play quite a bit of zone tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how Bradley matches up with Milik on the defensive end.

Hinson's teams have played a fair bit of zone defense in some of their games, but I do not recall much zone against Bradley.

nice try with the petty retort - but Wardle never once played any player or sent one back into a game AFTER an injury - who was DOCUMENTED to be injured only to have them get injured further... as for Ari Bpya - he broke a bone in his ankle that normally takes 10-12 weeks to heal then another several weeks to re-condition - so maybe up to 14-15 weeks!
But surely you noted he was actually healed, cleared and back on the court IN A GAME just eight weeks later and has NOT re-injured himself - a remarkably prompt recovery!!

                      Anyway - it's a message board - opinions are allowed ....

All I can say is WOW as I don't even know where to start with this so I won't comment beyond the following. Other than one radio show comment you have ABSOLUTELY NO WAY OF KNOWING if any of this is true. I know that message boards are for opinions, but this not something I want to be a part of.

Admin: Please remove my id from the board. Borderline calling a medical staff incompetent is not something I want to be a part of. No need to reply as you won't see me back here again.

OK - I will remove my opinion but I think the facts are still clear that a lot of ISU players have been injured then re-injured again before getting completely healthy

What in the world? I thought it was a very benign comment/opinion. I’m surprised anybody would pick up their ball and go home over someone almost calling an MVC staff member incompetent. I say wow to that!
                            Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.
