Attendance 4654, which I believe once again sets an all time record low for a home conference game going back to before the Fieldhouse era when attendance was not regularly reported...
but I think we could see the record set again unless we start winning...

Coach....You've got to be kidding! "Try something Different on Offense!".....We don't need to try something different on offense.....We need an entirely new offensive philosophy and approach. Toss out what we are doing and start all over. MAYBE WE SHOULD BEGIN WITH A NEW COACH AND STAFF. This Bradley team, coaches, and program is a laughing stock. Our coach hasn't the foggiest idea where to begin. He avoids talking x's & O's on his radio show and in his vaunted Q. & A request. The BU basketball program is an embarrassment to the university and to the Peoria area community. Our coach has not recruited enough talent and he keeps a tight leash and doesn't know what to do. If Chris R. cannot fix this by early summer, we need to drop out of the MVC, move to Divn. 2 and play our home games at the Ren Com.
My wife and I are Bradley graduates and have had season tickets for over 50 years. However, unless there is a major change in the BB program, we will not renew. The price is far too high for the kind of lousy basketball Bradley produces. Our program is at a crossroads even worse than under G. Ford and Joann G. Chris has the ball and the future is in his hands.

It's a little bit easier to say that after what we've been watching during the last month and a half. But seriously folks we were 13-2 at home last year and we were 14-4 in Geno's 2nd year so we've had a few fun moments. But those moments have been few and far between. We've lost at least 20 games in 6 of the last 8 years. There's been too many moments that I've gone, "What the hell just happened" and "Are you serious?" and "Really?" and "How can we keep missing point blank shots". And while we can blame you know who for where we are at as a program the fact of the matter is she hasn't been here for a while. These are players that Wardle recruited. And none of them can consistently get off a shot. But do we do anything to get them open? Again not consistently enough. Too often we don't initiate the offense soon enough and we end up having to resort to throw it up and hope it goes in kind of a shot. As bad as we've been on offense our defense hasn't been no bed of roses either. We've made other teams big men look like Shaq too often and other teams sure can find an open man for a wide open shot. Why have we've gotten to this point? I wish I knew but it just makes no sense for a team to go from a 20 win season to what looks like will be a losing record with most of the 20 win team intact. Something just isn't working and they half a month and a half to figure it out or we'll be playing on Thursday at Arch Madness. And if they end up in the play in game again there should be some serious questions asked about the make up of the team next season from both a player stand point and a coaching stand point.

What is the story on J'shawn Henry? Is he hurt/sick or in the doghouse. Need some transparancy here.

Henry finally was put into the game in the last few minutes and made a steal and a dunk (Somebody actually dunked the ball and made it!). The only thing I've seen about him was that he was sick but since he played 21 minutes against Chicago State on November 24 his minute total in the next 9 games was 24, including 4 straight DNP's, until his 4 minutes against Drake. Is one of the few guys we have that will actually mix it up inside and who doesn't look overmatched. I'll wait for an explanation from the coaching staff.

wiz- I have had four season seats in the premium area for 40 years - I am unaware of anyone else who has been in that high-rent area as long and consistently as I have. The price and the maintenance have skyrocketed and it is pretty clear why all the seats near us are now empty - we're some of the few left willing to pay that exorbitant price every year to renew - but we have lots of kids & GKs out of town now and only rarely do I make every game or use all four tickets - so I think we have also come to the same inevitable conclusion.

Wed morning BU was one and one-half point favorite. Coach Wardle has lost this team. Because of the good start his record this year will be slightly better than his first year at BU. All progress lost.

What is there left to say? I am a long time season ticket holder. I sure wish I had some insight as to what is going on behind the scenes. I can’t believe after 8 years and 2 coaches we are STILL in the same place. Meanwhile.... Mo St, Drake, and Evansville get new coaches (and some new players) and they are well on their way already. WHAT GIVES??!?!? I am so done with this program. I hope that Bradley one day will re-invent itself into a decent program.....whether that will be in a smaller conference or D2 remains to be seen. They will NEVER be the same again. I hope to one day come across an article or news story about them being decent again wherever that may be. Maybe, just maybe... perhaps even one day.... I will buy a ticket to a game just for old times sake.

Reading what you, wizard, Vent, tornado and others are saying is all very sad. Long time fans are moving, quitting or dying, Peoria is dying, and Bradley basketball is on life support with no miracle drug in site. As a lifelong fan myself it hurts me to watch this happening.

As for Evansville, they only really added 2 freshmen guards (Newton and Givance) and the grad transfer. Everybody else was on the team last year, just stuck in Coach Marty's antiquated system. Their top 2 players transferred and 3 others graduated. It does not have to take 8 years. That's just an excuse that some are using. It takes a coach who gets the players to play as a team, adjusts for the talent that he has, and has a good coaching staff. I wasn't sure Evansville had the talent to win 9 games all year, let alone be 9-9. Kudos to the coach.
