5th year grad transfer from UAB Nick Norton, tore the ACL in his left knee in their first conference game on January 2 at Evansville, and is out for the season. Drake ended up losing that game in double overtime. Drake was 11-2 in their non-conference schedule, but since Norton's injury, they are just 1-3 in the MVC. Norton tore his right ACL in the first game of his junior season at UAB on Nov. 11, 2016. He ended up missing the rest of that season and took a medical redshirt. But he came back in 2017-18 to average 7.5 ppg and 5.0 assists per game for UAB. Norton also tore that same ACL as a junior in high school, so this current injury is his 3rd ACL tear and repair.

The bottom line, no matter how good or bad we look, is that we just need a win. I know this team has it in them. Time to get er done!

Truth. Ugly or not we need a win. One game at a time.

Disturbing - "Odds Shark" use to give Bradley the "odds" in their favor for home games.... but no more... Drake 75.2 - Bradley 67.2 https://www.oddsshark.com/ncaab/drak...6-2019-1054246 COME ON BRAVES - PULL IT TOGETHER It's going to be a challenge because Drake is "ticked" after loosing a close game this past Sunday at Northern Iowa.

I have it a toss up. Watched the Drake/UE double OT game. Drake is better than I expected them to be, even without Norton.
Cheering with pep and vim for the white and purple!

Halftime score- Drake 33 Bradley 15

15 first half points against a bad Drake team that is BY FAR the worst defensive team in the MVC. They rank dead last in defense, giving up 73.5 ppt, 4 points more than the next worse team. Bradley 5-33 (15%), and 1-9 from three (missed their last 8 ).

Maybe we could try something a bit different on offense?

This is just becoming unreal, 15 points at half, missing 20 straight shots!!! Just play the Freshman the rest of the game.

BU has 15 (FIFTEEN!!!) points at halftime, at HOME, against Drake. I'm guessing there is some internal problem(s) that has risen to the surface. After last season, everyone was looking forward to this season, based on the players that were returning. There was so much promise shown in the non-con portion of the season. Why have the wheels fallen off?? At this rate, BU will have a perfect season in the MVC but not the kind of perfect season anyone should be proud of.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

I'd be starting the second half with the 3 freshmen and 2 other bench players.

Unless we make a remarkable comeback, Bradley will be 0-5, with all 5 losses to teams picked below Bradley in the preseason poll!
For the first time since joining the league (2013-14), Loyola Chicago has been tabbed the favorite to win the Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball title.

                        Mind boggling....

What a pathetic offensive showing. We’d be better off just chucking up half court shots and staying on the defensive side of the court. Sad.

Don’t want to be negative...might hurt somebody’s feelings. Fallout? Highly doubtful after this length of time. Even the Japanese quit using that as an excuse after WWII and that was much more serious. Call it what you want. I’’lll call it what it is......a train wreck.
