Illinois State played a great game at Loyola, but came up a bit short as Loyola wins 67-64.
ISU trailed 63-61 and had possession with a chance to tie. Milik Yarbrough tried to make a pass inside to Phil Fayne, but it was out of his reach and went out of bounds. Then mysteriously, Dan Muller benched him for the final 26 seconds. Yarbrough had a team-high 19 points and 10 rebounds and was the main reason ISU stayed close. Keyshawn Evans had his season high with 16 points for ISU. It was only the 3rd time all season he has scored more than 10 points.
Loyola looked very good. They are now 3-1, and ISU is 2-2.

Indiana State stayed close the whole game at Evansville and pulled ahead near the end of regulation, but Shea Feehan tied it at the buzzer. Indiana State pulled out a 72-66 road win. Christian Williams had 6 of his team-leading 18 points in overtime. Jordan Barnes had another bad shooting game and was just 3-15 overall and 1-8 from three. Both teams are now 2-2.

Valparaiso, 3-0 in the MVC, pulled ahead at SIU (2-1) midway in the first half and has maintained their lead throughout the 2nd half (the game is on NBCSports Chicago).
Valpo currently leads 61-50 with 5 minutes left in the game.

Valparaiso holds on to beat SIU 65-61- Valpo is now 4-0 and in 1st place.
