Another indication of how crazy the MVC is this year- Missouri State, who is 0-2 and was just blown out at home by Valpo on Saturday, is leading at Indiana State 37-28 at halftime-

MVC leading scorer Jordan Barnes has only 2 points, and Indiana State has 12 turnovers at halftime, 8 of them were steals by MSU.

4 other games, including Bradley at Valparaiso are about to start at 7:00 PM-

Missouri State goes to 1-2 with an easy win at Indiana State. MVC leading scorer Jordan Barnes was just 4-16 for 10 points.-

Illinois State barely escapes with a 70-69 win at home against UNI. UNI had a long shot at the buzzer for the win that went wide.-

Drake with a 82-70 win over SIU. Armon Fletcher played for SIU, and was their leading scorer with 21. Drake played without their leading scorer Nick Norton, but backup point guard Noah Thomas started in his place and had a carer high 24 points.

And Evansville pulled away early, lead by as many as 25 points, and had an impressive win over league-leading and previously undefeated Loyola 67-48. Evansville now tied for 2nd in the MVC lead at 2-1 behind league leader Valparaiso, who are the only 3-0 team.-

a month ago most of the MVC was wondering "woe is us, why are we doing so poorly" - except some Bradley fans were thinking "we're doing pretty good"

a week ago most of the MVC was wondering "woe is us, why are we doing so poorly" - except Drake, SIU & Loyola fans were saying "we're doing pretty good"

now most of the MVC is wondering "woe is us, why are we doing so poorly" - while Valpo fans are about the only ones left saying "we're doing pretty good"

I don't know, I'm feeling pretty good on where the Aces are. I'm sure the Redbirds are feeling okay too as if not for a miracle shot they would 3-0.

Mostly ISUb and Bradley who are probably pretty disappointed at this point.
Cheering with pep and vim for the white and purple!

with Norton, Wentzien, Fazekas, Thik Bol, Church, Lucas Williamson and even a few others all out with injuries or whatever -
Dan Muller has given up on Gassman and Tinsley - they aren't even playing one minute...
UNI's starter AJ Green - 15 shots but zero assists and 5 turnovers!

....This all means, all the more, EVERY team in the MVC is beatable any night...
If we just win the next 3 we will be right back in this thing

I like Coach Wardle's tweet this morning...

"Learned at a young age from my parents:
"Pick yourself up and get back in the race!"

ISU's Taylor Bruninga is hurt again trying to practice yesterday. Gotta believe he will just take the rest of the year off
