and here's a stumper - SIU's Eric McGill is the "Newcomer of the Week" but he is a juco transfer that played 10 games last season so he's still a newcomer?
On top of that, McGill didn't even play in their first game last week.....and one of SIU's games - against UMass, they got clobbered and one of their wins was a true softie, Howard.
Meanwhile Missouri State's Keandre Cook - a true newcomer - had games of 22 pts and 21 pts last week.
