Updates on Bradley's Class of 2019 recruits

Veritas is very athletic - they get a lot of rebounds & steals but they shoot poorly - often taking very bad shots...
so just like yesterday - they held a double digit lead all game then it evaporated late as the opponent put them on the FT line and then came back & scored..

The game was not a fun game to watch because of all the hotdogging, bad shots, and especially Victory Rock prep players constantly griping about every single call.
and most of the Veritas players down the stretch made bad decisions but -- in the end....
they put the ball into Stephan Gabriel's hands - and he sank free throws AND nailed a 3 pointer with 2 seconds on the clock to win the game 80-78

Veritas loses 55-54 - some pretty terrible officiating

Stephan Gabriel had another nice game. Unfortunately, turnovers and poor shot selection by his team, and a couple really atrocious calls in the last couple minutes hurt them again. But to me, Gabriel is the most talented player on the Veritas team.

Stephan Gabriel had a team-high 16 points for Veritas Prep in their second game today vs. The Rock Prep (the host team for the tournament).
The 16 points also tied him for game-high in points. He also had a bunch of rebounds-

Gabriel is fully committed and signed to Bradley...
Because of his age (he is post-high school and a year or two older than most high schoolers) he is not eligible to play in every tournament but we have been reporting regularly on him - here are some of the reports.-

But - Stephan being older is a huge benefit for Bradley - he will come into Bradley as a freshman but he is as physically developed and a lot of college juniors!

Ville Tahvanainen played last night - they won 88-76
and Ville had 12 pts, 6 rebs, 5 assists, 1 steal in 29 minutes
the opposing team had ex-Brave Alex Foster - he had 18 pts on 8-11 and 11 rebounds
Ville's team plays their next game Feb. 7.

Rienk Mast played Wednesday but only logged 8 minutes - scoring 4 pts - next game is Feb. 6

Antonio Thomas & Memphis East won last night 72-48 and play the same team tonight.

JaMir Price & Rock Island play at Moline tonight (7:30pm) and at Lincoln (7:30pm) tomorrow

Bradley commit JaMir Price of Rock Island HS was named Player of the Game tonight in a 55-47 win over Moline HS.
Price had 17 points and 8 rebounds.

Rienk Mast's team Donar Groningen lost 78-56 to one of the top teams in the league Landstede Zwolle. Mast had 8 points and 3 rebounds off the bench, and was one of only 2 Donar players with a + rating.

Ville Tahvanainen and HBA-Marsky win in a blowout 118-92, starters got rested a bunch and Ville played just 17 minutes
but scored 14 pts and was 4-8 from 3-pt range, He also had 4 asst. HBA-Marsky is now 11-5 and one game out of 2nd place in their pro league.
Next game is Monday.
