  • Some college basketball news

Mike DeCourcey of the Sporting News has some news--
The latest news, videos, scores and more on the biggest sports, including NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA, Soccer, Boxing, NASCAR and more with Sporting News

Marquette may try a 4-guard offense. And Northern Iowa is trying out the triangle offense as it prepares to represent the United States in the World University Games. The triangle worked well for many years for the Bulls. It relies less on point guards, and relies more on post players that can pass well and cutting guards to set up shooters.

JMO, the triangle worked well when everyone stood around and watched/waited as MJ took on 5 players... the teammates stood at angles easy for MJ to pass out to only when he didn't think he could finish the play 1-on-3/4/or5.

It also worked well for Shaq and Kobe. The triange might not work well in the pros now, but I think it could dominate in college right now with the right players.
