I never did hear back from Jimmy Patsos (Loyola MD), after sending him an email based on his view of Mid-Majors. He was the guy in charge of the whole committee last year. He ain't no Mid-Major... he is a disciple of Whiny Williams from Maryland. The whole "Mid-Major View" is never going to change with a schmuck like him.

The whole "Mid-Major BS will never change as long as there are coaches/schools who participate in these sort of polls.

I disagree, it won't stop until a mid-major wins the tournament.

Bradley University in 2011 - Lead By Sam Maniscalco, Iman Shumpert, Will Egolf, Dwight Buycks, and Daniel West with Anthony Thompson giving greats minutes off the bench. (Yeah thats right 2 PG's)

Honestly I don't even think that will help. Think about Memphis, George Mason, and InSU. None of them won it all, but they've made great stabs.

I really think the only way the term or designation isnt used anymore is if it is not used period. No more schools using the term to refer to themselves no more coaches or anyone associated with the schools who are "supposidly" definded by the term use it ever. The media wont stop but if it is not recognized/acknowledge by those it is defining then maybe the rediculous phrase will end. A good start to that would not to be involved in any silly poll that continues to define schools and creates separation.

Yeah, I do agree with you that a poll like this just continues to make a seperation of the schools more apparent. However, really the BCS schools kind of have a "seniority" over the others because they almost always win the tournament. Now I hate the BCS schools just as much as anyone else, but other schools have to prove themselves first. If only George Mason would have won the tournament...
