Lots of talk on the Saint Louis message board about the latest stuff on Matt Roth.

The guys he's not sure how much you can trust what you read on BradleyFans.
Hopefully he has learned you can.
If you read all the talk on Roth on their board, they liken what's happening now to what happened last year right about this time.
They really believed they had Lance Stemler locked up until Kelvin Sampson offered, then they called that the "kiss of death" when they lost Stemler to IU.
Now they are worried Roth will be lost the same way.

I thought the way recruiting was going for SLU (A bunch of commits) Roth may not be a high priority recruit. They might go after a bigger guy. I thought Roth may be waiting for a bigger offer. (IU) or waiting on U of I. I thought maybe we would get him by default. But maybe SLU really wants him or maybe U of I will offer now that they lost out on a bunch of recruits. They may be waiting to see what Shumpert and Suggs do. Anyway I have a harder time figuring out where we stand with Roth than most any recruit I can remember.

Maybe this is the way to go.....
More and more coaches are hiring the relatives and coaches of the recruits they want.
It sure is a trick being used by the likes of Bill Self and Bruce Pearl.

Matt is a great kid and would hope to see him at BU....I don't think anything is odd or tricks being played.....at least by MR and family....he will make a decision that is best for him......

I am to the point with Roth that I dont care, what he does or doesnt do. I have never seen him play but I really have a hard time believing that a 6'3 160+ player will be a difference maker at the collegiate level.

I am certain he is a great shooter, but again there can not be anyway he is a difference maker. I hope he comes to BU and completely proves me wrong.

If he goes to SLU or Indiana or where ever I wish him luck but if he is isnt at BU really dont care how well he does or doesnt play.

Honestly I think it is good Roth is going to decide in August, because if he doesn't choose us we can move on, and push hard for Kyle, Stacy, etc.

Hi all,
This roving reporter was in Las Vegas at a convention all
last week. I saw a bundle of 6'5" guys including a couple
that were actively discussing the possibility of touching
an 11 foot ceiling at the Sahara. LOL I saw no Matt Roth

I think it refers to the several AAU events that were going on in Las Vegas last week while Wingrider81 was there gambling away his paycheck.
He must have seen a couple of the basketballers who snuck into the casino.

Don't you have to be 21 to gamble in a casino in Vegas. I know you can be younger in other states, like Minnesota.

Yes, the Las Vegas casinos are usually very strict about this. That's why I referred to the high school kids wingrider saw having "snuck" into the casino. I was just kidding about Matt Roth. I am sure he wasn't in wingrider's casino.
