  • Interesting ESPN Insider Article

I dont know/understand the rules for posting articles in this board so I'll take the easy way out and just point anyone with an insider account to Jay Bilas' article called Getting in is Key.

Reading it opened my eyes to an idea I hadn't considered: that NBA prospects leaving early has forced the high major programs into a cycle like mid majors have always experienced. Anyway, I liked the article and would recommend it to others.

We try to abide by copyright laws, like most message boards do. Copyrighted material can't be posted, but you could help us find it by posting a URL or link to the article. In the case of a premium web site, you could summarize the ideas of the article or post a couple short quotes, but sites like ESPN try to prevent the posting of their articles on other sites.

Here is the link but you need to be a subscriber to read the whole article--

Another insiders article today deals with a proposed plan for all the top "Midmajor" conferences to put together a plan like the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Here is what Andy Katz says:

"Doug Elgin of the MVC and Tom Yeager of the CAA were discussing a new plan to help their top teams schedule next season.

Elgin and Yeager said they were going to solicit the commissioners of the MAC, WAC and Horizon League to form a consortium of sorts to schedule a challenge among the top five teams in each league. So, for instance, Bradley could play at Nevada in 2006-07, and then the Wolf Pack would return the game the following season."
