The low bid rate right now is $44. It'll go down if there aren't any big conventions booked that weekend.

The best I ever did was getting the Crown Plaza for $20 one year. We've gotten suites for $25 to $30 (before the HRA tax). Last year was a little tougher and we got the Millineum for somewhere around $35.

Wow, those are downtown hotels right? Where did you find those?

Usually priceline. You just have to know that you are going for sure. Don't bid on multiple rooms with friends that might back out. While priceline has its pitfalls, it works great for me for the Valley tournament.

These prices can vary a lot. Last year, all the hotels near downtown sold out, and there just weren't any of the deep discounted rooms we've seen in some previous years. Some of that had to do with the couple large conventions/shows that were in town that weekend. And some had to do with the enormous number of fans from Wichita State, SIU, and Creighton that attended last year.

the hotel assigments have already been made, and the official announcement will be released by the MVC on Friday, July 27.

I will be finding out this information, and as a service to our Bradleyfans members, I will be posting it here, maybe tomorrow.

            Stay tuned.
Bradley's hotel for the 2008 MVC tournament will be the Renaissance Grand Hotel. This is the same hotel the Bradley team has stayed at for the past 3 years. They still have plenty of available rooms. If anyone needs any more information about this hotel, or how to reserve a room, PM me.
