Good information and advice, scout.

I have head many stories about AAU coaches controlling which college coaches are allowed to have access to "their kids". And I have heard about some of the conditions these AAU power brokers try to wield, such as requiring a college to take a 2nd player if they want to recruit the first, or requiring promises of playing time for the kid the college signs, if they ever want to recruit future kids from the AAU team. Some AAU people have gotten money to help out at college camps, in a quid-pro-quo to allow that college coach to recruit his kids.
I believe the NCAA should get involved with regulating some of this AAU stuff, just as they are now cleaning up the prep school diploma mills, and get out of the business of mascot regulation.
