Here is an article reporting that Shumpert has trimmed his list to these 3- Marquette, Georgia Tech, and Marquette.

Bradley is out. And Illinois, who was not listed when he gave his final 5, is not listed now. There have been numerous threads on several Illinois boards claiming that Shumpert had not eliminated the Illini, and he was still considering them, even though this was never true. Maybe now their fans can let it go.

I think we all know that is highly doubtful. Let the harrassing phone calls from the redfaced, mouthbreathers of Illini nation to the Shumpert house begin!

That's too bad...I never thought we had a real chance but their was always a glimmer of hope....

I think it will be awful hard to say no to Roy Williams and the Carolina Blue.

Good luck Iman wherever you end up.....and remember, if things don't work out give JL a call....we might just have room for you.

Ha! I was going to say the same thing- here is a current thread from one of their free boards. Their fans have turned to ripping Shumpert (most of the more vile posts have been deleted, note all the deleted posts in the thread!). They are even ripping Bradley, saying this shows that Iman's interest in Bradley was only a courtesy. They just can't stand that their coach and school are becoming irrelevant in the recruiting world.

Did you honestly think he was going to choose BU over those other schools? I sure didn't.
I guess not, but he was still listing us and now it's certain that he won't be a Brave. Kind of a bummer.

That's too bad for us I think Iman would have had a huge impact on BU's basketball future and would have enjoyed his time here. That being said I hope things go well for him in his college career. Good Luck Iman, unless you meet the Braves on the Court.

Mouthbreathers? That's hilarious and original I might add. Man, I'm still chuckling, Mouthbreathers.

He does seem like a class act. I wish him good luck at Marquette, GT, or UNC.

I read some of those people ripping him on that other board. Amazing! He chooses to go eslewhere, and their fans attack him.
He won't see any rips here.

To me Schumpert's recruitment gives us yet another insight
as to the direction of this program. We may have lost out
on a 5 star recruit this time, but in my opinion, another year or two of quality basketball with continued excellant talent evaluation and the new facilities will yield nice recruiting dividends in the form of 4 or 5 star recruits seriously considering
                        playing here.

Good luck Iman. You are a class act and you will be a great addition to the college of your choice.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Though he doesn't say he has a favorite I truly believe he will end up at G. Tech, based on his comments about the school, the town, and especially the coach.
