    Definately a yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking along the lines of a tailgate type of party starting around 8pm.. get a couple of sponsors and some
bands along with the contests mentioned above... Then move everything inside and profile some of the past players and then
    build everything to midnight....

A certain money maker for the boosters!

It would be an outstanding idea to kick the season off with all the new players and I will guarantee to sell at least 10 tickets for this event; it would be a great way to get the students pumped up as mid-night madness would be the place to be.

With that said.....I'm in. Went to one years ago when Mo was coach. Poorly organized. Poor attendance.

I love Maggie May.. one of my faves!

How about a Noon event, followed by 18 at Newman?
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Whew - midnight is gettin late... but, if events and attractions occur leading up to an 'unveiling' of the new Braves of 07-08 at midnight and don't last very long after - AWESOME!

Beni - I am all for what you suggest.

Chucky T - maybe not a booth for BradleyFans.com (since Bradleyfans.com is not affiliated with Bradley University)... but how about all of us posters in T-SHIRTS with biz cards to hand out?

Tornado - I could talk to my Peeps at Auralgasms.com and see if they can line someone up (but then again, AuralBliss musically may not pump one up for the VisualBliss of Bradley hoops ) .

I just took the annual online alumni survey, and specifically told them that I wanted a Midnight Madness to kick-off the basketball season. Also, I told them the main source I used for alumni news was www.bradleyfans.com

Like your ideas as well MMOB. Just one big get together for the students, alumni, and fans to start the season right!

Good idea. I just did the survey yesterday, and should have thought of that.

It sounds like a good time to bring this event back. As Dogs said earlier, the one in '94 or 95 wasn't well organized and I don't think everybody was onboard as far as doing this. However, I think it is a different culture surrounding BU basketball right now.

Some teams have gotten away from the midnight part of this and had a big blow out the following evening. Would a big event at 7pm on Friday evening play better than a Thursday night midnight madness? Just a thought.

On the alumni survey, I said that I keep in touch with other BU alumns through BU basketball, the emails that Bradley sends out and the message board.
