Marcellus Sommerville leads San Antonio Spurs in scoring

Marcellus had a great game in tonight's NBA Summer League game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Cellus was the leading scorer for the Spurs with 13 points and he tied for the team lead with 6 rebounds in just 16:57 played. He was 6-8 from the field and 1-2 from 3-point range.
Cellus' Spurs lost to the Timberwolves 79-68.

I saw Cellus working out a few weeks ago, looked like he was really hitting the weights hard, hopefully it helps him catch on somewhere. San Antonio wouldn't be too bad a place to start.

Marcellus is still with the San Antonio Spurs summer team. They have finished play in the Las Vegas Summer League, and now are playing in Taylorsville, Utah at the 7-team Rocky Mountain Revue. San Antonio is 2-1 after beating Utah last night.
Cellus was injured in Saturday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks when he was elbowed in the shoulder by the Hawks' center Shelden Williams. The Spurs had a day off Sunday, and Cellus was wearing a sling for his shoulder. But he did play in Monday night's 75-71 win over Utah, but played just 18 minutes and scored 5 points. His high game was Friday with 9 points.

By the way, Shelden Williams is the fiancee of Candace Parker who may have spent as much time in Carver arena as Cellus has when she was a little girl following her brother's games.

There are rumors that with Atlanta drafting Al Horford this year, Shelden Williams may be on the trading block--
