Squeaky clean, now that's a joke. Illinois has had as many arrested players as anyone during Weber's tenure.

Illinois fans are concerned that Weber took over a fully stocked program, and watched it slowly go downhill without much hope on the horizon, as the rest of the conference seems to be passing them by.
    Can anyone say Stan Albeck?

Once again, the big difference between U of I and many other programs closer to home is that U of I players got caught. Having players drink does not make U of I a dirty program. It makes them normal. We have had 2 players kicked off the team, one benched mysteriously and transferred out. Incidents happen on all teams, leave the Illini alone for a little while. Almost everyone respected BW when he was at an MVC program.

          Quote from Matt Humphrey

"Matt Humphrey on Illinois: "It got to the point where I had to wonder if they really wanted me."

Humphrey says he would have picked Illinois if they had offered last year...

"I can actually say I would have gone to Illinois if they had offered me earlier," Humphrey said. "It got to the point where I had to wonder if they really wanted me. When I went to Midnight Madness I thought I would get an offer, but they didn???‚¬?„?t offer until a couple months ago. That???‚¬?„?s a part of the way they handle things. I don???‚¬?„?t take it as a bad way to do things. That???‚¬?„?s just the way they are."
