I was just asking becuase I haven't heard what his style will be. The poster said something like ISU would be too fast for him and it made me wonder just how fast they are going to go?
I'm not talking about individual quickness just the team style.
BU runs about as much as a team can run without being a "crazy quick style" like a grinnel. I can't imagine thats what he has planned at ISU so thats why the post threw me when he stated ISU would be too fast for MR.
I read a posts by ISU fans that are rooting for St. Louis to get him, they don't want him at BU
One person makes the following comment on June 24th and you take it as ISU fans are rooting for SLU to get him, because WE (ISU fans) don't want him at BU:
Please go to SLU then, I don't want him in the Valley.
At that time, Roth still had Wichita on his list and there was a rumor (from that same Matt Roth thread) that SIU was in the hunt. (the poster, who is an Illini fan even said it was down to Wichita and SIU).
So how do you take the single comment above as ISU fans are rooting for SLU, so he doesn't go to BU?
Are there any other comments that say "go to SLU, not BU Matt"?
IS there another Redbird message board that I don't know about, besides Redbirdfan.com, where you have seen ISU fans wish him to SLU, so he doesn't go to Bradley?
Because I have seen no evidence of that. I did see a single comment made on June 24th, where 1 ISU fan wished him to go to SLU, which in turn would keep him out of the Valley (Bradley, Wichita and SIU were all rumored to be courting him.)
I love it when a 'local star' comes home because it's always an extra special challenge to SHUT HIM DOWN and remind them just a bit of what could have been!
Biancardi was intimately involved and guilty in all the corruption and filth that went on at Ohio State and caused previous coach Jim O'Brien to get canned and the entire coaching staff lost their jobs.
Even after Biancardi went on to coach at Wright State, the NCAA findings of guilt and the penalties caused him to leave there and to become essentially unemployable. He was found to have maliciously violated the impermissable benefits rules repeatedly, and to the tune of thousands of dollars worth of $$ and "services".
Saint Louis even has to appeal to the NCAA just to interview Biancardi for the spot, as he is still under sanctions...but apparently Majerus feels he needs this kind of recruiter and assistant that was giving cash, free living arrangements, and even free nanny services and "female companionship services" to the recruits that they felt were going to get them to the next level at Ohio State.
I should be shocked that Majerus would hire this guy..but I guess very little really ever shocks me any more in the field of college basketball.
"Biancardi ran afoul of the NCAA while an assistant at Ohio State, but reformed his ways, and is a humbled guy, looking to rebuild his career. Biancardi recently met with NCAA officials, and the NCAA told SLU the school is free and clear to hire him. Majerus also discussed Biancardi with Biondi, who didn??€™t raise any objections. I don??€™t know if Biancardi??€™s hiring is official yet, but it was certainly headed that way..."

I love this crap. In a world filled with apologists and appeasers for all the "Kelvin Sampson's", "Biancardi's" and "Jamar Smith's" - they are right there to slam it in one's face over something like overpayment to OB and WF.
Almost all the talk on the Billiken board about Roth, suggests the fans are planning on
Roth being nothing more than a backup shooting guard, and many are even expecting him to redshirt.
And many of the posters would rather see the last scholarship for 2008 go to a big man with immediate eligibility.
If Matt Roth wants to go where the fans love him, want him, and see him as a PRIME piece of the future,
then I have a suggestion!
I agree T'........and can you imagine MR being on the same floor as SM & RT who can all shoot the 3? Who will you guard........SM is a good shooter and Ryan Thorton will surprise many BU fans with his shooting range! RT can really light it up!
Hey, Andrew Warren will still be around in 2008, and he hit
46% on 3-pointers, which would have been good enough for
5th best in the MVC had he fallen just a few short of the minimum needed to qualify in the MVC stat totals.
BTW-- Andrew's FT shooting wasn't bad either.
At 83.3% he'd have been 4th in the Valley had he gotten a few more opportunities.
