DeMarre Carroll is head coach Mike Anderson's nephew who transferred to Missouri from Vanderbilt.
He is also the cousin of Missouri assistant coach TJ Cleveland.
Also--- here's a news flash---
DeMarre Carroll is NOT YET 21 years old.
His birthdate is 7/27/86.
So if he was at a bar at 1:30AM, then the next question is whether he is committing team violations, is he drinking underage, even being in certain "night clubs" while underage is a violation.

Clearly a case of very bad judgement, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This report says 17 police responded because it was a shooting during a bar fight.
They just don't send in that kind of force unless this kind of stuff has happened before at the "Club Tropicana".

I've been there, it is like downtown in lots of cities, a little rowdy.
The Tropicana just changed its name and was the Spanish Fly a few months ago.
They have had some issues with fights and assaults there.
Click on this, and the big cluster of crimes is right at 800 Cherry St.
