  • Collins on Week....

BU 7 footer DC on WEEK as Lee Hall interviews him and JL about all the newbies.

The kid said he is here to block shots, rebound, run the floor and get alot of garbage baskets.

Looked MUCH bigger than I thought he was. I think they said 235lbs. Looks strong. Not a rail by ANY means.

JL stated, with a smile, he's got as much upside as any kid on campus.

    Welcome to BU DC.....

He did look a lot bigger than 235.I thought he looked closer to 260.

Just watched the video and took note of several things. The first thing is that he is a big boy and appears to move very well. What I liked is the mix of old and new players you see on the court at Robertson. I know I saw Boogie & JJ & I think DA from past teams. Then you have Sam Maniscalco guarding Ruff and you see AW's there. I couldn't really ID any of the other guys. I also liked the fact that it appears Ruff has taken on a leadership roll. You also get to see a slimmed down SS doing agility drills and actually getting his feet off the floor and moving pretty well. Then you have JL talking about the guys with what I would call a little smirk on his face, which shows me that he's a little excited about the upcoming season. Finally I'd like to give KUDOS to WEEK for stepping up with these summer b-ball reports.

Saw JJ in the mix also...good catch on SS. He's kind of a "forgoten" man. He could be somewhat of an X factor. Almost like a new recruit that knows the system.

I still don't know if he fits this system but if he gets a bit quicker he might give us some minutes.

Sam looks like he's got a little bit of his jumping ability back.
Another thing I noticed in the background of one of the clips is that Andrew Warren has a much more muscular frame. He's been working out a lot.
And Collins, in the limited clips WEEK showed, really looks athletic. He's not shy about dunking the ball, and runs and jumps as well as anyone on the team.

that's pretty awesome how the guys who graduated have come back to help the team.

yeah, i keep on forgetting about sam singh. hopefully, he can contribute and be a pleasant surprise next season.

I agree.........KUDOS to Lee Hall for getting the info out to the fans! It's good to see a glimpse of the the new players and old keeping the Braves traditions alive! I haven't seen anything with RA or TCS yet.....are they not on campus yet?

                  ditto....looooooove these reports!

David Collins is rock solid and rippling with muscles.
He is mobile and athletic and I suspect will assume the team leadership in dunks now that Zach is gone.
Collins looks like a 7-foot Cellus in his body build.

Andrew Warren does have a few more muscles too, he looks good.
And nice to see Ryan Thornton (just a few seconds) on the video working out with everyone.
Thanks Lee Hall....if you ever need a job, there's one open here at BradleyFans.com as associate-head-on-campus beat writer.

There were a couple of guys out there I couldn't ID because the video feed is kinda dark. I'm thinking one of them was Salley and the other possibly Theron Wilson (judging by size alone). Can anyone confirm who is on campus now? Have there been any Egolf or Austin sightings? Might one of these guys have been the "mystery recruit"? They would be allowed to play in an "open gym" setting such as was shown.

Kudos to Lee Hall & the TV 25 people. These are really nice reports. Hopefully it's a series where all of the newcomers are eventually featured. Keep 'em comin'!

I believe Will Egolf is on campus. I'm pretty sure he was helping out at the kids' basketball camp a couple of weeks ago. So, too, was Sam Singh, who does indeed look like he's shaped up quite a bit.

Thats a great idea....I would think that Lee interviewed all the players and can show clips of each over the next few weeks.
