  • Yet another BAD move by the Summit/Mid-Con League

They schedule weakly, they changed their conference's name just when people were
beginning to get familiar with the "Mid-Con" league, they admit a couple new
members such as North Dakota State and South Dakota State, and now.............

They move their Conference Basketball Tournament (both Mens and Womens) to......
    SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota !!!!

    Will anyone know....will anyone care??

That city was put on the map by a plane crash. If it weren't for that, nobody would ever have heard of it.

I didn't find any mention of a plane crash in Sioux Falls-- so what plane crash? I did however find out it is the location of Citibank's lending center due to lax local usury laws. Also it's a bit bigger than P-town proper, though surely not by metro area.

I think the plane crash Brocks is thinking of was in Sioux City (IA), not Sioux Falls (SD).

I've been through Sioux Falls on the way to the Black Hills a few times.....nice little town to pass through, but certainly not a destination in itself.

DU . . . exactly right! Who knew there were two siouxs? That incident sticks out in my mind because everyone on board should have been killed, but for the skill of the pilot. That was the incident where the plane lost all hydraulic control, but the pilot still got it to the runway, where it cartwheeled to a stop. But I got that mixed up . . . not Sioux falls SD.

I thought that sounded familiar. I keep getting these things for student loan payments from them...saying the need money from me .

The cost of going to Bradley, expensive...but man do I love it.

            -MMM

I am currently in Sioux Falls for the summer. I don't know about it hosting the MCC Tourney (I refuse to call it the Summit League. SOunds to much like a band of superheroes). There isn't a whole lot to do here; granted that might mean good tourney attendance. Also, the bars close at 2, makes you appreciate Peoria...
People need to recognize there is a huge difference between playing hard, and playing well...
