The bulls had a private workout and they had Noah and Hawes play one on one... guess who won???
Great draft for the bulls, as Gray wouldve been a lottery pick if he came out last year and Curry wouldv been a first rounder if he wasnt a drug dealer.

DP, I love your insight sometimes, but citing a one on one game as to who's better? That just isn't even reasonable. Especially when Noah is a PF and Hawes is more a back to the basket center. If you think who scored more baskets in that work out is who other teams saw as the better player...

Maybe Hawes would have been a good pick ... but Noah and Chicago are a perfect match. He was unbelievably personable last night at the draft. While most of the lottery picks were friendly and slapping hands with the crowd on their walk back to the media rooms, Noah took about 10 minutes to make the 100 foot walk. He stopped and signed a basketball for a kid in a wheel chair (he was the only one who did it) and was hugging people and getting their energy level up. The guy has Charisma with a capital C and a motor that doesn't stop. He is a big stage player and I think he will excel in Chicago - it is a perfect setting for him.

I personally really like the Noah draft. High energy guy, winner and quality person. He might not be the most polished offensive or defensive player in the draft but he will contribute in a positive way to the Bulls.

Hawes has Big Country Reeves written all over him.

I'd like to see him get traded for Patrick O'Bryant, personally. I think Patrick better fills their needs as he's an actual post player and has offensive skills.

They didnt only have the play one on one of course... they also did a whole bunch of drills and such to see who the better player is, and Noah came out on top.

Second round pics rarely even make teams so anything you get out of them is a bonus. Don't be too quick to hate on Pax. He's done a GREAT job drafting in the past, and I promise you that he knows more about any of these players than anyone on this board. Kirk was supposed to be too high at #7-that turned out pretty well. Deng and Gordon was a good draft too. Trust in Pax!

I just wish that POB could have been traded.
I used to think that Pax had done a great job, but the Bulls now have an undersized, inconsistant backcourt and post players (Wallace, Noah, and Thomas)with little to no scoring skills. I think that this draft could really hurt the Bulls.
