I think most of us like the non-conference schedule that Bradley has put together. Here is the topic where the schedule was posted and discussed--

One thing I just learned, is that the game at Illinois-Chicago (November 10) was added this year as part of a 2-game home and home series with UIC. Bradley needed a home game for next year and this will bring the UIC Flames to Carver Arena in the fall of 2008 for the return game. UIC was attractive for another reason-- every game Bradley plays in Chicago is a plus. Bradley has a huge number of alumni in the Chicago area that support the university and the athletic program, and this game is on a Saturday, which should draw a large contingent of Bradley fans. So this game is a great move by the people at Bradley.

If anyone thinks scheduling is easy, check out the number of Division I schools that advertise on just this one website to line up additional games for this coming season.--

Looks like Missouri State is the only MVC team advertising there.

Lots was said the past couple years about MVC scheduling, and it is NOT easy.
Most MVC teams can't pay the kind of bucks to buy good guarantee games, and surely most can't command home and home's with top D-I teams.

One other plus for a game in Chicago.....it helps to get BU in front of a HUGE recruiting base!!

I like the work our people do at BU, and our schedule is as good as any other in the Valley and better than most mid-majors.
Thanks Ken Kavanagh, Bobby Parker, Jim Les, and the others.

Not to be nitpicky, but the Michigan State series is a two-for-one, not a home and home. In any case, it's still great for BU to get a home game with a top program like MSU.

I think that was what Tornado was saying. Most can't command a home-n-home... like us, we had to get a 2-fer.

while home and home is preforable, I am very happy to get a 2 for 1 with any true powerhouse program

            Exactly...that DOES make my point.
Even the Iowa State series is really a 2 for 1 with the 3rd year being a so-called Neutral site that is really a home game in Des Moines for Iowa State.

We can only hope they live up to their hype and are a top 15 team when they come to town!

I figured that went without saying!
