Cincinnati was terrible last year, but CHN has them picked to do a little better this year, as the next couple picks are revealed:
#101 Loyola (Maryland)
#100 Arizona State
#99 Cincinnati (11-19, 2-14 in the Big East) they are picked 12th in the Big East this year.
I am frankly amazed at this guy's assessment of Cincinnati. I am hardly an expert but I did spend a little time last year following Cincy because Marcus Sikes, a Bradley recruiting target, turned down BU and went to Cincinnati.
Sikes, in his first year there was arguably one of their best 2-3 players averaging 10 points/5 rebounds per game.
He was 3rd in playing time, and actually hit a surprising 45% (31-69) on 3-pointers in the Big East.
But here is all they have to say about Sikes, as if he isn't worth a mention!
"Marcus Sikes will feel the biggest pinch from the newcomers up front. While he can play the three and four spots, Sikes will probably spend his senior year coming off the bench. He is not a great shooter, but was the best on the team last year from beyond the arc."
