  • Top players are now recruiting Bradley

Well, that's what a couple stroies in the news have suggested lately. (see today's columns by Dave Reynolds and Kirk Wessler)
In today's paper it says some of the recruits (in soccer and basketball) that coaches weren't able to get to have begun calling Bradley.

But read this story in the Tribune about one of the very top prospects in the state (Class of 2007)

    He says this:
"(Jacob) Pullen said he has scholarship offers from Marquette, Loyola, Miami, South Carolina, Xavier and George Washington.

He is also being recruited by DePaul, Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Bradley, Louisville, Purdue and Valparaiso.

"I really like playing with big men (such as 6-11 teammate Brian Carlwell at Proviso East) and would love to team up with Patrick O'Bryant at Bradley. But I doubt he'll still be there in two years."
News about Chicago sports from the Chicago Tribune: Bears, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Sky and more.

    Is this great--or what??
They also have a mention of TJ Marion in the article.

Kyle Whelliston has a fine article on how athletic and recruiting budgets will still keep mid-majors from climbing the ladder of success. As long as the networks favor BCS schools, the money just won't be there for the mid-majors.
The mid-majors have had a remarkable year despite extreme monetary disadvantages. Now they need to do it again and again, writes Kyle Whelliston.

If POB returns, I kind of expect Bradley to get at least a couple of nationally televised games... Maybe I'm overly-optimistic...

I would be shocked if we didn't land on ESPN 2 or 3 times next year, and possibly on CBS once.

Hopefully this run of success and national exposure will get the MVC to finally become a part of ESPN GamePlan. That's the last hurdle the league needs to overcome IMO.
        Onward and Upward!

I agree. Regular coverage = Big Valley/High Major status for the league. Did anyone else notice way back during the selection sunday show they didn't count MVC teams as mid majors in their little pie chart?

For sure is 6'5 Andrew Warren from Indy...........6'11 X. Crawford from Minn originally should be here.....and anyone else right now is only known by a few! There are 2 more rides left unless someone does leave...........and my guess would be if someone did........DA would get their ride for his last season of play since he will graduate in May of this year!

PS...........keep your eyes and ears open from what JL said.....there will be 3 or 4 visits within the next couple of week-ends.......so if anyone knows?
