  • Good News/Bad News for Mark Turgeon

Mark Turgeon, new head coach at Texas A&M, just got his first new recruit for 2008, and it's
not just any recruit, it is a FIVE-STAR stud

Then the very next day (Less than 24 hours later),
Anthony Jones renegged on his committment and backs out.

Get this, his mom has taken over the recruitment of her son and is now calling the shots....

"Anthony Jones is back on the board and an integral member of his family is taking a lead role in his recruitment.

"I want to let you know that my son still has his options open. I wasn't there for the interview and I should have been there," said Jones' mother Dee Curtis about Anthony committing to Texas A&M ....
"I'm his mom, and I know he was coerced into committing. I know my son, and I'm sure he just said what he said to get them out of his face.
    "

    Anthony then responds:
""I agree with everything my mom just said," said Jones. "I was rushed into committing, and I still want to weigh my options."
"I don't know when I will decide, but I'm not making a decision without my mom," said Jones."
