  • Mock NBA Draft

Another mock draft- this one has Chinese stud Yi Jianlian going to the Bulls at #9.
I would love to see that, but from what I have seen about this guy, I think he'll go higher. The Chicago Bulls are drooling over the marketing potential with 1 billion people in China and a large Chinese-American population in Chicago. That could be a lot of Chicago Bulls merchandise! --

Here's an article from espn.com that discusses the teir system with regard to drafting players and grouping them by talent. It's pretty interesting read. It's an espn insider but is a free preview so everyone should be able to read it.

Even though I don't care much for the NBA, I see no need to mock their draft!
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

I don't think that the Bulls will draft Yi. He doesn't seem to fit their team, and there have been a lot of busts out of China. I don't think that Yi has even worked out with any other players, which can hide a lot of flaws in a player. It's starting to sound like the Bulls will draft Smith or Hawes, but I wouldn't be surprised if they traded the pick (for Kobe?-yeah right).

there has been a ton of talk about that possibility however i think it would have to be a 3 team deal so LA could get a superstar in return that the bulls do not have

Wang Zhizhi for Dallas, cut by the Clippers

Depending who you talk to- Yao. How many times has he been out of the 1st round. I know he's still young for a center, but he's not as dominant as he should be.

                  Menk Bateer

Those are actually the only 3 from China, I was lumping in a guy from South Korea too - Ha Seung Jin

Yao and Wang came into the NBA with just a ton of hype, and Wang is not in the NBA anymore and never did anything. I don't think Yao is very good-nowhere near the hype he got coming into the NBA and certainly not the next Shaq.

I don't know how sold I am on any international player coming into the NBA right now. It all just smells like Darko...
