Wow! Wouldn't that be quite a pleasant surprise if DW is the super secret "recruit on campus" taking classes to become eligible

While it is nice to see BU mentioned highly, the way that hoopscooponline.com does these recruiting class rankings is completely bogus. It is a "quantity over quality" rating system...which is totally flawed...

A recruiting class with 8 two star recruits is nowhere near as good as a recruiting class that has Greg Oden and Mike Conley in it...but in this rating system, they would rate the class with 8 marginal Div I players in it as being better than a class with two NBA lottery picks...pretty laughable.

Don't get me wrong...I like the players BU has coming in, but it is not the 12th best recruiting class in the nation...not a chance.

This ranking also has Western Illinois as having the 45th best class in the nation...does anyone buy that? Yep, I'm sure teams rated below them (Kansas, Texas, Alabama, Maryland, Kansas State, Georgia Tech) would just love to trade recruiting classes with WIU...

What a turn around that would be.....its interesting as bored as I was this weekend I did some research on Theron and Williams and considering the higher level of competition that Theron played with last year (JC Div 1 angainst JC Div 2, Theron played in the number 1 rated conference in JC, so on and so on) I am not sure why Theron is not a better get. His numbers from last year are much better across the board in almost every area. He gets to the line more than anyone I have ever seen and man can he rebound the ball. The interesting thing is Theron had a very steady year but majors just kept dropping off of him????? He was the only kid in Div 1 JC ball in the top ten in rebounding and scoring.........he looks to be a better get than DW but who knows?

ER3, I think most would agree with you but its still nice to see BU up there with the big boys. I think the other two rankings we have seen with BU #22 and #23 are closer to the facts. But at least from everything that has been published so far Bradley has a top 25 recruiting class. Now it means nothing without some W's.........

Here is Bradley at 12 vs. Duke at 13. ESPECIALLY NOTE TALENT RATING PER PLAYER! I know what this tells me. You come to your own conclusion.

            12. BRADLEY (27 Points)..........8 Recruits..........3.4 Talent Rating Average Per Recruit..........Missouri Valley Conference..........( DeAaron Williams, 6'4, WF, Illinois Central (JC) IL; (3) David Collins, 7'0, C, Missouri State-West Plains (JC) MO; (3) Rashad Austin, 6'8, PF, Northeastern Colorado (JC) CO; (3) Tyrone Cole-Scott, 5'11, 2G, Tyler (JC) TX; (3) Theron Wilson, 6'5, WF, Seward County (JC) KS; (3) Anthony Thompson, 6'10, C, Houston (Klein Forest) TX; (2) Sam Maniscalco, 6'1, PG, Chicago (St. Patrick) IL; (2) Will Egolf, 6'9, PF, Juneau (Douglas) AK.

            13. DUKE (26 Points)..........3 Recruits..........8.7 Talent Rating Average Per Recruit..........Atlantic Coast Conference..........(10) Kyle Singler, 6'9, WF, Medford (South Medford) OR; ( Taylor King, 6'7, WF, Santa Ana (Mater Dei) CA; ( Nolan Smith, 6'3, 2G, Mouth of Wilson (Oak Hill) VA.

But as long as DeAaron has not committed or enrolled elsewhere
their system counts him still as a BU commit.

As for the faults of the system.....it is just the same way this guy has been ranking recruiting classes for years, and was mentioned for the sake of discussion, but nobody said it is 100% guaranteed to be a predictor of things to come.

Just take it for what it is...as the Duke people are pleased to see their name there too.

We could be 114th or 203rd as other Valley teams are.

By the way.....I am convinced we have still not heard the last of the changes for the incoming guys of 2007, more on this later.

That would certainly help complete the puzzle so far.....

Also, note at the bottom of the link that Bradley has a tie for 59th best recruiting class of 2008, even though they are NOT counting Xavier Crawford who has verballed to BU.
Had they given credit for XC, that would have put BU into the 30's or so.
