Tornado, I don't think I'm off base here. Sure, everything was hunky dory for the past 2 years, but as soon another school is mentioned the bitterness has set in. He might have wanted to make an early committment, but this is a big decision for a kid his age. Let's just hope he makes the right decision and hopefully it will be Bradley. As for the other boards, I could care less what they say about their coaches. I'm a Bradley fan and a Jim Les fan.

Originally posted by MacabreMobI have said before and I will say it again... I want players to come to Bradley that WANT to be at Bradley.
I have been holding back a couple comments til now...
I saw Matt a couple times. Yes, he has a very nice long range shot. But IMO, I didn't see anything more than just that.
And if a player with just a great long range shot comes to BU and is also a local hero... I can see/hear the outcry now over lack of playing time no matter how much/little he plays.
The Anti-JL people will come back out of the woodwork along with the PJStar ripping into Bradley and Coach Les.
But this is a double edge sword. If what I said above becomes true, then maybe BU isn't interested in taking that direction. But then... if MR goes elsewhere, no matter how good or bad he does it will always be used against BU and JL in the press and by anti-JL people on how BU/JL screwed up.
Whatever. I hope MR's family/friends/supporters aren't gonna be hunting me down to burn my house for those comments. Anyway, good luck to MR and I hope he finds success and happiness in whatever decision he makes.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

Originally posted by ChicoMMob, where did anyone say it was Bradley all the time? It's just that we were all hoping Bradley would be is choice and we can't blame the kid for weighing all his options.
I give up.
Go tongue-twist with someone else.

type of player... spot up three shooters... I said this on this board a while back.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

I have said this before on here, I have not seen Roth play other then in some quick time videos, but I have an extremely hard time believing that a 6'2 180+ guard is anywhere a must get recruit. If he was from lets say Moline would anyone praise him and mention how important his presence would be to BU... but because he is from Washington he apparently is the second coming. He is obviously talented but to be a must get recruit that seems to be an extreme stretch.
We offered him, he seems to not be overally interested thats fine, we should not remove the offer, but and I would imagine JL and staff are doing this, recruit over him, keep recruiting and I 100% agree with MM bring in someone who wants to be at BU without any question. Oh and it wouldnt be bad to bring that player in who is 6'7 plus.
I went to one BU game last season versus Southern Miss and sat next to Dwight Buycks and Roth sat directly behind Bycks with his family. Buycks and Roth both were on the court before the game. Buycks really was into the game and seemed excited to be in the building. Roth, and maybe he is a layed back person seemed like he would have rather of been anywhere other then at a BU game. If body language could speak his said no thanks, Buycks said this is my place to be.

All four of those schools have had some major coaching changes...makes sense to me to reevaluate.
Let the process take it's course...

lefty....read my post and note that the entire thing was from the perspecting of how he is viewed by the fans of Bradley.
I pointed clearly to his comments about Porter Moser and St. Louis and the perception that he has little or nothing to say about BU.
And he doesn't need to satisfy me or anyone else....he can make whatever choice he wants.
God knows most BU fans have wanted him here at BU for the past 2 years, but if he isn't interested, then I as a BU fan will begin to turn my interest elsewhere, and hope BU signs someone else.
But as a BU fan, I still have the right to want who I want, too.
I guess I have pretty much the same rights as MR has.
He has the right to choose the school he wants, and I have the right to choose who I want to hype and the guys I want to root for, right?
If he comes to BU I will be his #1 fan, if he wants to go elsewhere, then I probably won't follow him that much.
