    I like the Loyola and Butlhttp://www.bradleyfans.com/phpbb/posting.php?mode=quote&p=55584&sid=a03e43e39aa5c2e cb1258a5b8c853163
BradleyFans.com .:. Post a replyer rivalries and also Detroit. And I can live with occasional series against Horizon teams, and all for playing the in-state UIC.

But for the RPI, playing those 4 teams means we're indirectly playing 12 games each against Cleveland St, Milwaukee, UWGB, Detroit, Valpo, and Youngstown.

Throw in a MEAC team and a DI newbie that negates any benefit to having teams like Michigan St and VCU coming in.

Not trying to be Negative Nelly, but knowing how the RPI works, and your opponents opponents do figure into the thing, this schedule is not as good as is being advertised. It's just not. There's some good there, but its not all good. And the not good will neutralize the stuff that is good. For better or worse.
Not to disagree with you squirrel because I think your points are valid, but there is also the eye test. For instance in the run up to the NCAA tournament ESPN shows those profiles without the schools name at the top. And I think a profile with wins over MSU, VCU, Iowa, Vandy, and ISU would look pretty good, especially after it was shown that that profile was compiled by a "little ole MVC school." Obviously it'll take a lot of work to get those wins, and I too question the amount of Horizon league teams on our schedule, but all we have to do is win the games, and force the committee to put us in.

I just want to know why some find it acceptable to play 4 road games against an inferior conference (Horizon) and laud it as good/great/worthy of praise and honor.
Good thing we didn't play UCF, Houston and Memphis last year (as well as S Miss).

Or maybe make it more relative to the 05-06 season... outside playing Memphisin the NCAA, good thing we didn't play UAB, UTEP or Houston.

By the way, CUSA finished 15th/13th in RPI as MVC finished 6th/6th (Non-con rank/Overall rank).

Memphis beat us in the NCAA.
UAB lost at Depaul by 4.
UTEP lost to Georgetown who beat Pitt by 3 at home (only matchup).
Houston lost at Rice (218 in RPI - 'nuff said).
