    FIRST TEAM
    Patrick Beverley, Marshall
    6-2, senior, guard
    Averaged 32 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for state's third-place finisher. His stellar play raised his recruiting status from midmajor to the top of Division I. College: Undecided.

    Brian Carlwell, Proviso East
    6-11, senior, center
    Most dominant big man in the state averaged 19 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. Led the Pirates to successive supersectional appearances and was a standout receiver in football. College: Illinois.

    Sherron Collins, Crane
    5-10, senior, guard
    Rated the No. 1 point guard in the country by one recruiting publication. Averaged 26 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists for sectional finalist and was named McDonald's All-American. College: Kansas.

    Derrick Rose, Simeon
    6-4, junior, forward/guard
    Hit the winning shot in 31-29 overtime victory over Peoria Richwoods for Class AA title. Rated among top five juniors in the nation and averaged 20 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists. College: Undecided.

    Jon Scheyer, Glenbrook North
    6-6, senior, guard/forward
    Led Spartans to state title last year and quarterfinals this season. Averaged 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3.3 steals and hit 100 three-pointers. Fourth-leading scorer in state history. College: Duke.

    6-6, sr., C, Thornton
    Virtually unstoppable low-post scorer combines power moves with soft shooting touch. Averaged 18.8 points and 11.8 rebounds for Class AA sectional qualifier. College: Oregon.

    6-9, jr., F/C, Peo. Richwoods
    Averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds for Class AA runner-up. Has the ability to score inside or step out and hit the three-pointer. College: Illinois.

    TIM FLOWERS
    6-5, jr., F/C, Simeon
    Rates with Joevan Catron as a powerful inside scorer and rebounder. Averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds for Class AA champion. College: Undecided.

    JEROME RANDLE
    5-8, sr., G, Hales
    Rated among the state's premier point guards, played on two Class A champs. Jet-quick athlete averaged 25 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. College: California.

    WILL WALKER
    6-1, sr., G, Bolingbrook
    Complete player who will be a pass-first guard with three-point range at the next level. Averaged 30 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. College: DePaul.
