  • University of Nebraska moving into Omaha's Qwest Center

Just for 1 game next year.
The University of Nebraska, the big state school in Lincoln, has played second fiddle to Creighton, the little private school in Omaha, in basketball for the last couple decades. They had a press conference yesterday to announce they will play 1 game next season in the Qwest Center, home arena of the Bluejays. They plan to haul their own floor to Omaha from Lincoln, rather than use the floor the Qwest Center has with Creighton's logos.

Nebraska can't sell out the Devaney center in Lincoln for basketball games, so why go to a bigger arena in Omaha?

Actually, since I'm a big nebraska football fan, I read a little about this on one of their boards. I just looked up what was being said. This is a return game against Oregon in which the teams agreed to play at "neutral" courts for the games. Last year Nebraska played Oregon at the Portland Trailblazers home court, so this year the "neutral" court will be in Omaha.
