Lance Stemler Update

As I type, Lance Stemler's Southwest Illinois College is in the 2nd half against Howard College (TX) in the 5th place game at the NJCAA Finals.

I have been able to lock into a play by play, so I will give the info.

SWIC is up 2 with 5 minutes to play, 51-49

Lance and teammate Lawrence Blackledge (also a D-I prospect) are having good games.

Lance's team also includes Peoria central grad Jacob Motteler, who started on the Central team with Shaun Livingston which won the State Title.

Time out at 3:59 remaining and SWIC is up 53-51

Earlier today, Coffeyville (Kansas) defeated Monroe College (New York) 74-58 for 7th place, Monroe taking 8th.

Lance Stemler's team finishes their season in 6th place at the NJCAA D-I Finals.

Not sure if this has been reported here yet, but Bernie Miklasz of the StL Post-Dispatch said today Brad Soderberg at SLU offered Stemler a scholarship.

That same article also says he is being recruited by Marquette, Nebraska , and Georgia! Are the Braves really looking at him?

I haven't heard anything about Lance coming back to Bradley.

Lance ended the season scoring 22.4ppg, which is 6th best in the entire nation, and only 1.7ppg from leading the nation.
He also hit 40% on 3-pointers.

The latest JucoJunction rankings list Lance at #34 best juco player nationally (ahead of ISU's Dom Johnson and SIU's Ty Green)

I would love to see Lance back at BU!
