BU's last 2007 scholarship?

The last few months have been crazy with all the changes on the hilltop. At this point I don't think their is anything that will surprise me. I think it's best to put my faith in JL and his crew and then let them go to work. If they find a good player to fill the last schollie then go get him. Otherwise we are OK with what we have now and I think we are in for another good year.

I just hope if they do for some reason use the last scholly on someone it is to a very valuable player. The only bright side to the player exits lately was that we would have another scholarship to use next year. We seem to be involved with some very good players. We may not be able to finalize any of them, but I would be willing to take that chance unless we are going to get a valuable player for next year. Although if this were last year and we signed a player like Salley I would be very upset. And as it turns out he was a valuable contributor. So, I guess I better just trust the coaches.

With the success that BU has gotten (Will Franklin, Cole-Scott, Collins, Austin, Wilson) in the late signing period,
I'd say if there's someone out there who is worth it, our staff will find him!

The big question is; Who is still available that would be worth giving a scholarship to as we have enough juniors in the program now so I would rather give it to an incoming freshman or wait till next season .

There is now somewhat strong confirmation that BU does indeed have a target for their last scholarship for 2007.
It is entirely possible the name may be made known shortly.

Well, we have been hearing reports from various sources about a new player who may even be on the Bradley campus now that is pegged to be the 13th scholarship (Ray Brown's open scholarship). So we will get more info as soon as it's available and keep everyone informed.

By the way, since a TV station in Evansville knew about the Merfeld hiring before it was reported locally, do you think if there is a new BU recruit, that we'll ever read about it in Illinois anywhere?

Given that the news about Merfeld was common knowledge on BradleyFans as far back as nearly a month before it was reported anywhere else.

And you guys had stuff on David Collins almost a year before the rest caught up, even reports of him on campus a year before one paper reported he took his "first" campus visit.
