Maybe I'm in the monority here, but I have zero respect for this decision. Either go there and honor the contract or don't go there and honor the Florida contract.
He had the better part of 2 months to look into this Orlando situation after he won the 2nd title and if he even had a smidge of a doubt (which he obviously did) why would he sign with the Magic?
I know he's not the only one that has done this and there will most certainly be others that do it in the future, but this is atrocious in my opinion. He had ample time to asses the Magic situtation to the point that he shouldn't have been suroprised by anything as Altman apparently was with Arkansas.
If Donovan didn't research this thing thoroughly than shame on him. I agree with Danny, and in a perfect world The Magic would hold Donovan accountable and he would be required to honor the contract/commitment.
But this is already a PR nightmare for Orlando, so they will let Donovan walk away, they have to look bigger then him in this situation, maybe let the NBA be perceived as the bad guy by banning him, which is a slap on the wrist essentially.
The Magic need the fans of Northern Florida behind them and by holding Donovan a hostage or playing hardball will do nothing but make them look like the evil empire versus the good guys in the situation by letting him loose.Comment

Good points. Orlando's hands are tied in this and they are basically screwed either way. Worse yet, it sends a bad message within the organization and makes the job opening look like a bad situation. I feel bad for those guys in Orlando.
